Giants Week

Quote:Even that may be dangerous as they will be showing the Giants scoring

But there is not much chance the Red Zone never shows us scoring. I would be shocked if we get shut out by a 3-8 team.

(This post was last modified: 11-27-2014, 09:09 PM by n420p69.)

For those who may not have seen too much of us here is a small, very general breakdown.

Offense

Eli is actually having a very solid year. He is making far less mistakes then he did last year, he had one really bad game against the Niners but generally has been solid

Our running game has been brutal since Jennings got hurt. He doesn't look to be full strength.

Offensive line is mediocre at best. We are better at pass blocking then run blocking, spectacular at neither.

Beckham is basically our shining light this season with Cruz hurt. Our TE is just ok, nothing spectacular.

Kicker and punter are pretty solid, amongst the better ones in the league in my opinion. But we suck at punt and kick coverage.

Defense

The defensive line cannot pressure or sack a QB if their life depended on it. Very poor against the run also. JPP is not the player he once was against the pass but is one of the best at playing the run. We were 32nd in the league but I believe Atlanta or Chicago has overtaken us.

Our LB's are probably the worst in the league. Our best LB is our MLB McClain. Other then that our guys cannot cover or play the run.

Our secondary was supposed to be the strength of our team but we have been decimated by injuries. Our best CB DRC is playing hurt and highly ineffective. We are missing our next 3 cornerbacks and are down to scraps there. The safeties are playing horrendous, FS Rolle has been all talk and no play. He looks nothing like the All Pro last year.

I wait until the end of the third quarter to turn the TV off when we are statistically dominated but the score does not reflect that at halftime.

Quote:Haven't posted a prediction in awhile. Obviously they were insanely popular and mostly accurate so enjoy:

Eli- 340 yds 2 TDs

Jennings- 135 yds 2 TDs

Beckham- 160 yds 2 TDs

Donnell- 80 yds

Randle- 60 yds

1 blocked FG for TD

Bortles- 215 yds 1 TD 2 INT (1 pick six)

Denard- 125 total yds

Shorts- 80 yds, 2 soft tissue injuries

Hurns- 75 yds 1 TD

Lewis- LOL

Gratz- burnt 3 times, ejected for trying to bribe the refs with bubblegum.

Fisch- 5 playcalls for 2 yds on 3rd and 10

Gus- 3 competes, 5 get betters, and 9 opportoonies. Blows this week's salary at Chuck E Cheese after the game on pizza and tokens for this special group of guys.

Final Score: 42-7 Giants.

Hahaha. I love Gus' predictions!

Jaguars will cure your pessimistic ways... for atleast a week.

All the Giants have to do is all out blitz.

You are the pessimist here. The Giants would have more than three wins if they did not suck.

No, I spelled it right. But I am only worried about two players - 10 and 13.

Almost doesn't mean squat in this league. Games are always close. We lost 10 games. I don't care by how much either.

I think the Jags have a good chance of winning this game. I don't see what's so intimidating about the Giants.

Final Score: 42-7 Giants.

Aaron Colvin doesnt shutdown Beckham only hopes to contain him, Demetrius McCray does shut down Randle and Gratz on Washington only allows one TD.

Telvin Smith gets another INT off of Eli, a forced fumble, and a sack for his 2nd player of week AFC award!

Clemons gets two sacks, and Big Red & Marks contain Jennings to under a 100 yards rushing.

Blake gets pass happy, and throws deep to Hurns in the opening play for a TD.  Then throws slants inside to Lee all day long, along with Sanders.  On occasion short passes to the FB & Shoelace.

Shoelace is containe but does get the occasional burst for a first down.

Going into the half Jaguars are up 17-6 and then Eli just lights it up as our Defense especially  Josh Evans continues to make mistakes.

Their Oline stinks, but the Jaguars CBs & Safeties are the leagues worst.  If Aaron Colvin can get more playing time against Beckham that might prove to be great for the Jaguars!

He's one player. So long as the Jags don't use a foolish game plan on him like they did on Dez they should be alright, because unlike Dallas, NY doesn't have much else to offer.

Plus their O-Line is much weaker than Dallas's O-Line.

NY's DB's are a strong argument against the contrary.

I hope Chris Clemons can surpass his high and last week and get 4 or more sacks against the Giants.  Even if the Jaguars lose the game it would be great to see that.
