Quote:Gruden cant build anything on his own. If we have to take a media coach i would much rather have Dungy or Cowler

Cowler? No way he comes here. He's a happy retiree from Minnesota who is happy just ice fishing. Besides, he's never played or coached football before.

Wait... Don't tell Shad.

Jack was a solid head coach and did an amazing job with the toilet scum trash players that were picked.

look at the success his staff has had on other teams. that speaks what kind of leader he was.

Bingo. He's not an elite coach, but he's WAY better than Badley. The 2007 playoff game against the Pats should show his pedigree. We almost beat one of the best teams in the league with nobody's!

Quote:I miss Jack too. He was such a solid coach.
Good Lord what has happened to our team. I remember Jack. I remember he had the oddest habit of blaming everyone but himself for a loss. The man could fire some assistants, no problem. Call out players with snide comments or revealing no comments. He at least looked bummed out at the after loss press conferences and walking off the field. Gus acts happy to be anywhere, anytime. Gus Reminds me of my salesman boss, always chemically enhanced, bouncy, wide smile, and could sell sun lamps in Key West.

I want Jack to stay where Jack is. He did more than enough for the Jaguars. I want him to give Gus a job as a matter of fact.

Funny how one playoff win makes people look with nostalgia at JDR.  You hit his petulant behavior perfectly.  I guess everyone glosses over how much he ticked off Mike Peterson and John Henderson.
