I had totally forgotten about this guy because he only plays at the end of blowouts. For his sake I hope he is OK and I feel bad for his mom, but this will not affect the Michigan game unless he committed suicide.

That's a very compassionate way of looking at this.

From the headline, I was thinking, maybe they eloped.

This made me laugh for some reason.

AGS, the most important thing is he comes back home safely. Of course I care about the Michigan game; how could I not? But he was not going to play in it anyway so I have no reason to worry about the team playing bad because he is gone.

Because the headline read like it was two different people: a wrestler and a football player.

One person is on both the football and wrestling teams  - or was if he died.

Sadly its being reported he was found dead in a dumpster from an apparent self inflicted gun shot wound.

Thoughts are with his friends and family.

He texted his mom to say many concussions messed up his head. I knew without reading further it was suicide.

Sad story....if you have some concussions, walking on to football is not the way to go.

Tough for a family to deal with.

I never heard of any college team telling someone not to walk on because of concussions he suffered during high school. Even the NFL lets players with a concussion history join teams through free agency or the draft. This story should be a wake-up call to do a psychological exam on players with a known history of multiple concussions.

I can imagine his family feeling guilt about not trying to help him when the depression began or realizing there was a problem. My hope is the NCAA will learn from this and make changes to protect players who get concussions.

Probably ran off to join ISIS like all the losers that know they have no future here.

Please stop it...you don't think that if a college program knew a kid had concussions that they would let him play?  That makes no sense.

Also, just so you know he was a 3 year varsity wrestler for OSU, not just a high school wrestler.

As far as his family, I'm sure they are grieving and wondering what they could have done....a lot of people with psychological issues are hard to help.  Many times they dont want the help.  For someone that asks for people to understand you, you sure are judgmental.
