So how about those halftime adjustments...

Quote:no. I'm not saying that coaching has no relevance to the outcome of a game. I'm just saying that Tom Coughlin is a good coach and he didn't lose the game for the giants; in many ways, the giants players (particularly Eli...) lost them this game by turning the ball over. Coughlin himself said it; they would've done better to have just come out the second half and just taken a knee each snap...We probably would have lost the game if they did that. They actually did what they've been talking about for all these weeks. They "got better", "competed", "did their job" and each player seemed to elevate his game just a little this week. Bortles took a big step today. The defense turned turnovers into TDs. Bortles was cool in crunch time. Marquis Lee gained more confidence. The secondary had few or zero blown assignments. The young LBs had a big impact. The DL was disruptive again.
Only the OL was ordinary or may have even regressed. But the offense had a plan for bad OL play - wildcat, rollouts, read option. Good job by Jedd Fisch and the offensive staff. Did I just say that?
I don't think i could have ever pictured Gus as being the HC that leads the Jags to their biggest comeback win ever.
I still don't really know what to think about that right now.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
I LEARNED SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT TODAY.
For any of you who have "given up" on this years edition of the Jacksonville Jaguars, may I strongly suggest going to their "official site" and watch for yourself Gus Bradley's postgame locker room speech. After watching it I discovered I have been wrong in judging this team. For that, I apologize to the entire Jags organization but especially the coaches and players themselves. After viewing it and seeing how the players have NOT QUIT on their coach or each other.......................I discovered this is a team whose record does NOT even remotely reflect accurately just what this team is all about. Again, I highly recommend go and watch the video. These guys are a cohesive unit and we should be very proud of them. THis did not happen just because they won today. They TRULY BELIEVE in their coach and they TRULY BELIEVE in themselves. I have no idea how the rest of the schedule will pan out in wins and losses, but I for one saw a great group of guys with a fire in their eyes that can only lead to victory............whether it be this year or next. THESE GUYS HAVE NOT GIVEN IN OR GIVEN UP. I suspect that comes as much from their HC (Gus Bradley) as it does anyone else. The Jags would be making a monumental mistake to let him go. Quote:I LEARNED SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT TODAY. Agreed... It really is all about the process. Strides are being made. I love the future of this team
Quote:Defense decided the put the team on their backs. They were ferocious. If our defense deserves a nickname, it is Ferocious Felines. Quote:I didn't watch the 2nd half but I'm guessing Eli was Eli. Three fumble recoveries - two for touchdowns and one to seal our fate. That is not Eli being Eli. That is playing great defense. Quote:If our defense deserves a nickname, it is Ferocious Felines. The Defense did step up in the 2nd half but in all fairness in the Giants last 6 games they scored 83 1st half points and only 41 2nd half points. There probably is something to the Eli being Eli in the 2nd half comment or for that matter the Giants being the Giants. We show less advertisements to registered users.
