Being in the stadium for a win like today is a great feeling.

Quote:Hey!  So anyone remember the Shoelace run, where he had to cut back and break tackles...  I thought that was a huge play!

Shoelace does show flashes at times during the game, you can see it.

If he could become more consistent, it would sure help out the offense a lot.

On another note, I'd like to thank Toby for taking that 4 yard loss right before the last GW FG.

Without it, the FG would have only been for 39 yards and not qualify for a free Firehouse sub.

So I am having lunch on Toby this Wed, thanks again Toby, we would not have qualified for a free sub without you.

That's the way it's supposed to feel after a home game.

I remember back to the season when the Jags went 7-1 at home.

When you went to the game, it was like you just knew you were going to win, almost a guaranteed home victory.

It was pure awesome.

Quote:Dude, this place would have been downright ugly if the D didn't come out on fire in the 2nd half.  Seriously, that was like a franchise saving win by the defense.

Honestly man, JT Thomas diving into the endzone and snatching that ball from Jennings will rank up there with Scobee's 59 yarder against the Colts a few years back as two of the most important, and underrated, plays in franchise history, in my mind. I still don't know if I've felt the fans turn on the team quite as much as leading up to that Scobee kick. I imagine if the 2nd half today continued the way the first half did, I might have felt that fan momentum shifting back to where it was that Colts week. Thank God the defense showed up in the 2nd half today.

Exactly how I feel. I may still have my questions about the team and my own gripes about the game, and may still crack jokes about the talent level here, but hey, a win's a win. Feels good to have something go right this season. Smile

Enjoying the win.

Fisch didn't handcuff Bortles today, and I think that was a big factor in the win. I wonder if it was Fisch or Bradley who initiated that change.

Quote:Wolfie said this was a bad weekend so the Jags would lose. Hmmm...........I can't trust him anymore.

It feels good to finally win but to keep things in perspective we need to build momentum and win next week.

For those imbeciles who think we should lose for draft picks...........losing is for losers.

Or a Bradley career saving win, which may not prove to be good for the franchise.

Quote:Good team win. Defense made amends for getting bullied the entire first half. Offense was able to get us the drive when we really needed it to win the game. Banger kicked a 66 yard punt. Field goals were much better.

I was surprised to see the Giants scored three touchdowns in the first half and none in the second half. Obviously Gus Bradley said all the right things at halftime.

Quote:Hey!  So anyone remember the Shoelace run, where he had to cut back and break tackles...  I thought that was a huge play!

That must have been a first for Robinson because I don't remember seeing him break tackles in previous games. Do you have a gif of that play?

Quote:Jaxon DeVille hit the pool!

He got in a pool? I bet the fans loved that!

Not even close. It was not the game-winning score or against a division rival. But it was certainly a very important play because without it, Josh Scobee would not have a chance to win it at the end.

Why didn't the defense show up in the first half?

We all need to just enjoy this victory for the full week.

We haven't had near enough of these, so let's not shortchange ourselves on this one.

We can worry about the Texans game later.

Except for one problem: I can't enjoy what I did not see because the wrong game was on Fox. I have to spend the week figuring out how to watch all of the highlights and replays.

The wrong game was on FOX? Don't you live in the Jags viewing area? Or is that only when the game is shown on CBS?

What game did FOX show?

It shouldn't be to hard to find highlights of the Jags game on the net.
