Probably New Year's Day because the first game is the Rose Bowl. The national championship is January 12.

You need to learn to call the Buckeyes Ohio State. There is no such thing as Ohio Buckeyes, you know. Ohio is the Bobcats.

How about Suckeyes?

That is fine (although I don't believe they suck). I just don't like calling Ohio State the name of another school.

Just saw: (at least according to one Vegas sports book)

Alabama (-12.5) v. FSU

Oregon (-1.5) v. TCU

SEC bias again. If Alabama was in any other conference it would only be a single digit favorite.

Please stop it.  Vegas does not have SEC bias.  Vegas has a money bias and they make the most money when they are as close as possible to that prediction.

You saying SEC bias over and over doesn't make it true.

The Ohio St. Bobcats only get in if a top 3 loses. Who it is doesn't really matter, but let's take FSU since that is who you said you'd like to see lose.

In that case, yes, Bama, TCU, and Oregon would love to see Ohio St in the playoff. Presumably Bama would be the real winner there because they would mud hole the Ohio Buckeyes.

Was it SEC Bias, again, when a Big 12 team hopped FSU? When does that nonsense stop? Particularly now since your taking Vegas. Crazy talk, crazy, crazy, crazy.

How else do you explain Alabama being ranked #1 instead of Oregon or TCU when all three teams have one loss? Why wasn't undefeated FSU #1 after Alabama and Mississippi State lost?

Why are you talking about rankings now?  He was talking about a Vegas point spread and you started spilling your SEC bias garbage.  Again, Vegas does not care about SEC bias.  They care about betting lines, who bets on what side of it, and getting as close to it as possible.

I guess you missed my approval of the name Suckeyes for Ohio State haters.

I really would be happy with any tean losing just to get the Buckeyes in, but my top preference is FSU.

TCU was previously ranked right before OSU. That makes me think a Frogs/Buckeyes game would be the best matchup, assuming Baylor does not get in. Alabama and Oregon probably don't care who they meet. They can beat anyone. TCU would rather see OSU than FSU for sure.

I was just pointing out SEC bias may be a real thing.

That was the first time it happened all season. I was shocked.

And I was pointing out that Vegas does not have SEC bias.  You said they did.  Post #68 in this thread.

Back to the topic: Who do you all think has the best chance of beating Florida State, Oregon or Alabama?

So these clueless morons drop a undefeated team to 4. Puts TCU who lost to Baylor number 3.

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

I thought the topic was discussing the rankings?
