Who is Andrew Luck?

(This post was last modified: 12-07-2014, 04:26 AM by lastonealive.)

He's played well this season. It's nice to see him almost playing up to his hype, that's all I've ever asked.

He beats up bad teams a treat. He hasn't really got many notable scalps this year though. He also played poorly against Jacksonville, so it's hard to give him much credit on a jags forum.

On another note, I have never seen a receiver get as wide open as TY Hilton. The guy often seems to make the catch with nobody on the screen near him. Really wish we had him.

Hype is an incredibly hard word to play up to, many, many players fail to live up to it, because of that.

So is #1 pick in the draft, or any really high first rd pick.

Have the Jags ever had a top 5 pick in the draft, or even top 10 for that matter, live up to the hype? Probably only Boselli. JB has a chance, but so far he hasn't.

There's been plenty of failed top 10 picks though, for the Jags.

He was the guy I was eyeballing when Gene picked a punter :/

…and we needed a PR/KR specialist at the time. Sort of forgave because of the Blackmon pick at the time, but…. wow.  Just wow.  He was sitting there when we took a friggin' punter.  Ugh.

Anger will have to make a game saving tackle in the Super Bowl to preserve a win or shake off a few tacklers on a fake punt to score a TD in the Super Bowl for everyone to forget he was drafted in the 3rd round.

Yeah he needs to perform better down the stretch here. Out of division games he hasn't been very good.

Haha Ty Hilton is just ridiculous.

There's the difference. Colts receivers make that catch

Yep, well Luck did it.

The Browns are who we thought they were.

Luck is good, no doubt. He commits TONS of turnovers it seems like though. I think that's what will keep them from the Super Bowl this year and for the foreseeable future.

A good team would have punished them today. Luck did what he needed to at the end of the game however

At least he can beat the weaker teams with some regularity.

A Grigson 3rd round pick ... not that you would appreciate that.

Grigson moved up in the 3rd round to pick him, too.

What a moron!

Grigson had an awesome first draft....been absolutely awful since.

You can't honestly defend his free agents and crafts since surely. His trade for Trent Richardson is unforgivable.

Add Herron to the list of rbs better than him. Pagano is too weak to deactivate him too

He's draft this season has been pretty solid, actually.

Without using the name Trent Richardson, list the rest of the horrible FA/Draft Picks. ... Every last GM makes mistakes. Do you recall Belichick and Chad Johnson, or Albert Haynesworth? Maybe Lawrence Maloney? It happens, but you done went-n-got your brain stuck on TR.

Moncrief may be another nugget Grigson has found, and I think he has hit on far more than he has missed ... but they all miss, make no mistake. If they don't miss on players, they ain't trying.
