why are they forcing the ball to Shorts you ask? Well that is in the game plan and this team can't and will not deviate or adjust. The QB has to do exactly as coached during the week.

The only reason they went for it was for him to throw it at least 20 yards to get a 1st down. You think Fisch called a play where no receivers went that deep. Bortles is choosing to throw to these safety valve receivers and not look down field. How is that the coordinator fault?

Postgame press conference, Bradley will be asked about it. Bradley will say Bortles needs to throw downfield on that one. He knows it but that's part of the learning process.

Well, I was saying in the first half to stop throwing to Shorts and get Hurns and Lee more into the game...  Nobody listened to me.  My hands are clean of this loss  

 

Some weren't his fault but overall not a productive receiver.
