In Gus I trust, or as Marks said "We got a good one"

That game winning was all luck. Little screen and a missed tackle by Jaiqwan Jarrett and Wright is gone.
Lol ok.

Teddy looks better than Blake right now and that's because of Norv. Fisch isn't helping develop Blake.

If we're not .500 next year not only Gus should be fired but Bortles is definitely not the franchise quarterback. Do you know how many weapons this dude will have next year? If he can't get it done then he's a scrub. And if that is true they might as well fire Caldwell at that point too.

Dang man. You'll be so upset if the team doesn't go .500 you're going to fire Dave Caldwell twice? That's cold.

History,

Find a team that failed to achieve .500 the first 3 years of a rebuild and stuck around for a 4th. I can't think of any, maybe there's one out there?

Pete Carrols Seahawks where 11-5 in the third year.

The 49ers fired Singletary after two years of not hitting .500 mark.

The Rams fired Scott Linehan in his third year while working on a 2-14 record. Then they gave Steve Spagnuolo three years before he was fired in 2011. Jeff Fisher coming into his third season was on the hot seat, sitting at 6-7 he's probably bough another year but if he wasn't hitting .500 you think he would be safe?

Ken Whisenhunt won his division with the Cardinals in his third year, he was fired two years later when they failed to break .500

Oakland hasn't kept a head coach past 3 years since John Gruden going back to 1996 each coach getting canned when not at least hitting .500 by their 2nd or 3rd year.

I can keep going, I don't know of a "regime" that fails to hit .500 first 3 years and sticks around for a 4th. It's a pretty safe bet next year we're either .500 or it's time to start over.

Here are the current NFL Head Coaches # of losses in first 2 seasons.  The numbers could obviously go up with 3 games remaining but this is eye opening.  The stats are not perfect as there are a couple of 1st or 2nd year head coaches on this list without 2 complete seasons but you get the idea.

I know Wins and Losses are not an absolute measurement but it would be an extremely difficult decision to keep Bradley going into next year.

Bruce Arians- 9

Mike Smith- 12

John Harbaugh- 12

Nice post on the number of losses.  I think the top of the organization doesn't count year one against Bradley.  They will use 2014 through 2015 as the gauge.  I think they are going to be very disappointed at this point next year.

I think it is very likely that Bortles will break out for another team and we will middle around for another 3-4 years.

Yeah and 2 of the top losers are/were Jaguars coaches.  Go us and the Giants.  At least the Giants have the hardware for their struggles.  What do we have?  Maybe we can finally get that elusive first overall pick trophy.

Even if...Bradley goes into next year with 13-14 losses, he'll still need a miracle to not still top that list lol.

LOL - people keep using these "facts" on this board.

As if we didn't already know that Bradley has been one of the worst coaches in his first 2 seasons in NFL history already.

But, but - the team is improving!!

When you look at 2013 it makes this year feel worse....

http://www.footballdb.com/teams/nfl/jack...sults/2013

Basically beating an imploding Texan team twice, the Titans once and the Browns is all we had in the Win column.  What makes it look better is the "competitive play" down the stretch.

We are in neutral with a below average coaching staff.  I will be very happy to be wrong next year but this process isn't one year away and the "break out" play isn't happening.  I avoided the forums last week somewhat because the gushing over a nice defensive performance was over the top.

I don't think the team is as bad as our record because there are way to many young players on the offensive side of the ball.  Considering the timing, rhythm and sync needed to perform on NFL offenses the results aren't terribly surprising.  The pain point for me is the lack of progress.

Edit:

What is even worse is our Points per Game has gone down every year. And when I look at the Del Zero years we were actually middle of the pack.  Ouch!!!!!
