Quote:Best QB since Aaron Rodgers. Deal with it. Drafted in the 3rd RD. Every team passed on him, not once, but twice. Welll every team unless there was a team or 2 that happened not to have a pick in one of those rounds.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
At least we got a Hall of Fame punter...oh wait Anger is extremely average as far as punters go.

Quote:Will Seattle even be able to afford Wilson after paying Sherman/Earl? Of course. He'll get like a 10 year deal lol. Something crazy like Big Ben got a few years ago.
Quote:Andrew Luck. just checked their career stats head to head, and other than passing yards.. wilson destroys luck everywhere else.. clearly the best dual threat qb in the league We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

If you extrapolate the numbers he has with lucks passing attempts, he might get the credit he deserves. Wilson is like a silent assassin playing the QB position. Let's not forget the ring.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
Quote:Luck is far better than Wilson, deal with it. Yeah this board loves to slight Luck just because he is a colt. Pretty funny. We show less advertisements to registered users. RW - higher career passer rating, YPA is higher, TD to INT ratio is higher and RW by far has the lesser pass catchers vs luck as well as the tougher division.

Quote: And Luck gets to beat up on the patsies in the AFCS twice every year. I think Luck probably is the better QB, but the inflation of his perception due to getting to beat up on the worst division cannot be overstated. In Wilson's case, the deflation of his stats due to playing in by far the best division in the NFL cannot be overstated, either. Both are great, but the drafting of Anger looks worse with every passing week.
I find it very amusing that the same people who criticize Wilson in the media i.e. Pete Prisco are the very same people who claim Brady is one of the greatest QB of all time. Now, Brady is indeed one of the greatest QB of all time, but aren't we all forgeting that in his early days, he was criticized as a "system QB", another term for "game manager", who relied on N.E's defense to win games?
In fact, just compare WIlson and Brady's number in their first 3 starting years and tell me who's the "better" QB. Wilson can be spectacular when he has to i.e. vs Redskins and Rams when he passed for over 300 yards and rushed over 150-something yards. He's also clutch and has 12 or 13 comeback/game winning drives. While Luck is still perceived as the "better" QB, Wilson doesn't have to prove anything to anyone; he already has a ring and will only get better. We show less advertisements to registered users. While Wilson is very good and off to a great career, he has the tremendous advantage of being on a team with the best defense in the league. Thus, he doesn't have to carry his team. He only has to "manage" the game. That's not meant to be a pejorative, either. Every QB would love to be a game manager - that's really what they are paid to do. But Luck and Brady, and earlier in his career, Rodgers, have had to carry their team. To a large, large, extent they are the main reason why their teams are winners. Wilson will at some point have to carry his team - that defense can't stay together forever, and then we'll get a better idea as to his full worth. I think he'll be fine.
The sun's not yellow, it's chicken.

Good point Adam, but to be fair, Brady didn't have to carry his team until about 5 years into his career or so. |
