Jaguars set NFL record of most double digit losses in three year span

With all of the $$ we saved in salaries, we got a much bigger video board.  Hey wait, the video board only plays replays on 1/3 of the screen.  We pretty much just got the 3rd down and 10 in much bigger fonts  and a bunch of advertising as well.

I agree with this.....I really thought they would be using more of the board to show the game.

I, too, look forward to draft every year. Then taking Gabbert over Watt rekindles in my memory bank and the only draft I look forward to is what's on tap.

This has been a record-breaking year for us. We are finally turning some heads and getting media attention. This is a one-of-a-kind team. This year has been unforgettable. This team is really something.

Thats pretty sad when you consider other rookie head coaches like Mike Zimmer who are doing well with rosters that aren't exactly stacked. His Minnesota team started off slow as you would expect a rookie head coach to show, but unlike our situation, Zimmer's Vikings started showing results as the year progressed. We haven't really shown that in either of Bradley's 2 years here. Zimmer actually has already equaled Bradley's win total.

Quote:I am right there with you. I have two kids that are both Jaguar die-hards. I almost feel bad loss after loss after loss after loss. Last week my son was as excited after the Giants game as he probably will be on Christmas morning.

My son is 10 and 2 weeks ago someone asked him his favorite NFL team.  I gave him a look and he jokingly told me "I'm not going say who you want me to."  After I laughed I asked him why he's not going to say the Jags.  His reply, "because they always suck."  And you know what, for my son's 10 year life so far, they basically have and he sure isn't buying my reminiscing of the "good ole days."

Yeah, but Zimmer has been able to rely on the NFL's top running back all year.

Yeah even my wife is getting foggy on the good ole days.  Tough sell right now.  I have to watch the games by myself when they are actually showing them.

Fans deserve better. Thanks for all the good times too many are in the past.

Quote:As bad as Detroit and Tampa where in the down years, why don't they hold such records ?   I guess we're already below the low standards they set during their down years.

The Lions lost a large number of close games during the near decade of record number of losses.   When the dust settled,  it still was a combination of very frustrating,  aggravating,  and depressing.     Everyone handles losing consistently differently.    The common theme is the difficulty of the situation as a fan.

The record that I don't think any team will break is the Lions 26 straight road losses that finally ended in Tampa in December,  2010..   This record broke the Lions 24 road loss record from earlier last decade.    The term bottomless pit comes to mind when dealing with a losing streak of this magnitude.

If you can't find the Jags, make sure you check the comedy channel before giving up.

Maybe the history channel too, I hear the Jags are currently making all kinds of NFL history right now.

Quote:The Bucs of the 80's and early 90's were about as bad as bad can be....and we're worse than that.

The Bengals of the 90's and early 2000's were close....and we're worse than that.
This is pretty sad - because its true.

Well that's....embarassing.

It takes effort to be this bad for this long.  It's actually somewhat impressive.
