I'm sorry folks but Blake Bortles is NOT a franchise QB. 3rd and 7 and he throws to the first guy he see knowing he's got no chance for a 1st down because the guy he threw it to had his defender on him like white on rice. TERRIBLE DECISION making on Bortle's part. I'm not impressed with him in the least as the future of this team. I see Christian Ponder all over again in Blake Bortles.

 

Pretty sure this offensive scheme, the offensive line, and the OC are not helping BB5...

Bortles just needs better play calling/coaching... The staff needs another year of learning how to coach a successful team. Rookies on both sides, imo.

The Blake Bortles I'm seeing now isn't nearly the same player I saw when he first came in. No sense of urgency or awareness of what is happening down the field. No movement in the pocket... just hike and throw to your first instinct I don't get it.

That was a horrible decision to throw it to the rb. He overthinks and rushes the throw when they blitz

I'm seeing alot of check downs, alot of first read short dump offs by BB5 now compared the the beginning of the season.  The coaching is moving him towards this type of play.

 

Last year, Henne and Gabbert were throwing the same type of balls...  What's the constant?  The OC and this East Coast offensive philosophy

They handcuffed him so much, they tainted him. Plus hanging out with Henne everyday doesn't help.

I am not really seeing it either. It don't understand how he is going to magically turn it around next year, especially if the line isn't improved. It would be one thing if he was this bad in the pre-season and was performing at his pre-season level now, rather than reverse. To regress this badly though has me worried. I sincerely hope I am wrong.
