Jameis Winston likely to be cleared of any CoC violations

You are obviously a much better person than me from your line of questioning. Do you think his suspension was good enough?

You're the one that brought up his punishment and how you would've done it differently.

When pressed, you still haven't described what you would've done.

should he get expelled?

Suspended for life?

When pressed for a response, please get over yourself.

I would have suspended him personally for 3 football games.  The star player on your national championship team just got caught stealing from a grocery store.  If that doesn't show how entitled he think he is, than what does?  Especially all the trouble he had gotten into previously.

If it was a walk on football player, would he have stayed on the team?

My hope is that yes, the walk on football player would've stayed on the team if he's good enough to play.

I've said Jameis is an idiot.  He's done some bad things.  I don't want him stealing from me, nor do I want him playing with BB guns outside my house.

But you make a big leap after that and say that you dislike him so much that you wouldn't even want to watch the Jags anymore if we drafted him.

Look - I know you lived a perfect life and never committed any petty crimes whatsoever.  You probably have never even ran a stop sign or never had 2-3 beers and then drove home.  Your moral compass is just way too superior.

If your point is that I wouldn't like Jameis shooting BBs at my house or stealing my shoes for example, you'd be right.  But you're making a point that nobody disagrees with.

Should he still be allowed to play?  Yes, absolutely.
You don't seem to like the person in this example. Neither do I. That's it, end of discussion. I don't like him and sorry if it blows your mind that i wouldn't spend my money to support him. It's my opinion of him, sorry if that upsets you weirdo obsessive FSU fans. Stick up for him all you like, i don't care, it won't make me like the guy. I've never seen fans get so upset over others not liking their QB, who gives a [BLEEP]. As far as my moral compass goes, yeah, sorry, i think he's trash. I've lived far from a perfect life, but i feel good about saying i've never been accused of, or committed the crimes he has, or was so oblivious to others because i couldn't get out of the way of my own ego. Sorry if you don't agree with me, let it go. You can continue looking up to him and rooting for him, i'll choose to do otherwise. Not that big a deal, get over it.

Yes, duh.

Stealing from publix shouldn't get the walk on player cut.

If he can play he should stay on the team, just like Jameis.

Sorry if we're not understanding ourselves here, but that's my point.

This isn't the only thread where people have discussed Jameis Winston.

And even here there were comments like "if someone at MY school did what Jameis did, he would've been suspended or probably in jail."
No, I didn't say that. I said he'd have been kicked out of my school, period. That silly comprehension creeping in again. A simple elementary concept...

There it is, very reasonable.  I would have worn out of the continued embarassment and probably kicked him off the team to make an example, but that's just me.  He's a shame to the university.

So now you all can point to me as the example of someone who thinks he should be kicked off the team.  I said it, here i am!  Right here!  I think Jamies deserved to be KICKED OFF THE TEAM. If i was the AD, i would have KICKED HIS [BLEEP] OFF THE TEAM.  Clear?  So now you can copy and paste this everytime to use as your example of someone WHO BELIEVES HE SHOULD BE KICKED OFF THE TEAM!

Quote:What would he be suspended for? If you're going to call it a slap on the wrist, then I want to see what you would've done.

Jameis had to do some kind of community service as well, so how much community service would you make your son do?

I'm really wondering.

How would you make your son "feel your wrath?"
Let me ask you this. You think the punishment was just? He steals from a store. Said he "forgot to pay". So he is basically saying he didn't really steal anything. The video proves otherwise, he was being sneaky, and knew what he was doing. Video in which Jameis was completely unaware was being taken. He then is forced to apologize and all that jazz.

He gets suspended from a couple baseball games, where he is a closer, so what did he really miss? Nothing. His bread is buttered by football at FSU where he received nothing at all. He was taught nothing at all other then he runs the show.

You are correct. No one in their right mind likes this person. Unless you are a card carrying FSU fan. Then he gets a pass.

So he lied about stealing from a grocery store until he got caught.  What else has he lied about?  Muhahahahahaha

The fun part of all this will be sitting back and watching him continue to self destruct.  I can't wait until his has more money than he knows what to do with, that will be entertaining...

There are those who would say, well he could mature.  Nah, he's too stupid.

You have the right to feel that way.

Others also have the right to continue to support him.

Can we leave it at that?

For me, stealing from publix and shooting BB guns, breaking windows in the process isn't something I like or condone... It's not enough to make me say "I won't watch anymore" though.

But like I said, you have the right to boycott them if you'd like. It's your choice. And I honestly don't care if many people don't watch.

I do care if someone implies that I should do the same (not saying you did that btw) or that my decisions are inferior in some way.

I don't think anyone on here has tried to sway you from how you feel. They've simply stated their side.

I know we've moved onto other topics, but going back to the sexual assault case, I think this is a really good article that pretty much breaks down everything and dispels a lot of the rumors that the media is pushing (using the actual evidence from the case): http://chopchat.com/2014/12/24/heres-new...t-telling/

Sure, absolutely.  This has been the point all along, we are entitled to think of him however we choose.  I don't think you should do the same, you can do whatever you want.

Sorry tho, i can't root for your boys this year.  As an unbiased college fan, i usually just root for the Florida teams by default.  I'll be back to pulling for FSU next year.  Until then, i hope to watch a good playoff this year.  It's about time!

Quote:You do realize that he was involved in other crimes besides that one right? Oh...I'm sorry BJ, I forgot that stealing isn't a crime to you.

Lets go through this again.

Accused of sexual assault- cleared

Stealing soda- no charges filed

shooting bb guns- no charges filed

Stealing crab legs- served community service, suspended from baseball team for a couple games.

shouting obscenities- suspended for 1 game against major (at the time) conference rival.

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.
