MJD's hair annoys me

Oh boy...its an ethnic hairstyle....no wonder some schools ban it....so scary and intimidating. Should he do the mullet? The bowl cut? Maybe something trendy and short like this?

I don't have a problem with the style...I just think it makes him look really young! I walked into Publix the other day and they had one of those cardboard cutouts of him standing near the entry...I didn't recognize that it was MJD at first...I thought it was for one of those punt pass and kick type things!
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???

Quote:What in the world for? Supposedly most "thugs" who commit crimes has dreads, or braided hairstyles.

Quote:What in the world for? There are many excuses I've seen for such policies that the hairstyles are distracting to the learning environment, they aren't natural, they're a fad, etc. Quote:Supposedly most "thugs" who commit crimes has dreads, or braided hairstyles. I guess skinheads are the wrong color thug.

I know that the elementary school and middle school that I went to banned mohawks because they were a "distraction." As far as I know this has since changed though. When I was in high school you could have a rainbow mohawk and be fine.
lolz....and people take issue for posts about the uniforms, yet MoJo's hair gets them upset enough to post...
I think Mojo should rock the Mr. T Mohawk.

That's insane, just another reason I plan on homeschooling my four. Talk about brainwashing kids into conformity.
Quote:That's insane, just another reason I plan on homeschooling my four. Talk about brainwashing kids into conformity. Is it really all that different than when we were younger and (if you went to Catholic school) and had dress codes/ they wouldn't allow the males to have long hair? I don't really think its that big of a deal for schools to be enforcing that kind of a thing. I think it is an example of discipline. Once on summer vaca or done school, you can do whatever you want. Is it really that important to have to "express yourself" as a kid via hairstyle/ clothing while in school when you're supposed to be focusing on learning anyway? Quote:Is it really all that different than when we were younger and (if you went to Catholic school) and had dress codes/ they wouldn't allow the males to have long hair? Well I have problems with the entire "public education" system to begin with, they don't educate these kids, they train them. The topic at hand is just one example of how the focus of the "public education" system is to train children into obeying orders on every aspect of life from what you wear, to what you eat. to what you believe. Not to mention while I might not like a specific hairstyle do I like the idea of an institution that I'm forced to participate in dictating the appearance of a free individual? Not a precedent I'm really down with. |
