Jedd Fisch Fired!

How a coach puts up 3 points against the Panthers in what is essentially a playoff game with Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Roddy White is an utter disgrace.

He also has all but suggested that Bortles is doomed to be Gabbert due to the OC change.

I cannot imagine a worse radio personality. For real...who...why...how do they...

The Falcons have one of the worst offensive lines in football, primarily due to injuries. They don't pass protect and can't run the ball, Matt Ryan also through a really bad pick-6 in that game, that has nothing to do with DK.

Koetter had the Jaguars offense running like a sewing machine when he was here too. Oh wait, no he didn't. But it wasn't his fault here either. He's just had bad luck. Poor fella.

He has worked with a number of successful QBs, including Steve Young, Rich Gannon during his Super Bowl year, and Bernie Kosar.

I find his offensive line background interesting.

Quote:I think this is one of the reasons that Gus moved on from Jedd (even though he danced around it during the press con). Bunch formations can be effective, but it does require a lot out of the quarterback because it shrinks the field a bit. One bad read and boom....pick 6. This is the only thing that I can get out of that whole press conference.

IMO, Gus was trying to tell us that while Jedd's philosophy works and can be effective, that it's not very QB/WR friendly...especially if those players are very young and inexperienced.

Been saying the tightness of the formations is a primary culprit for the pass protection problems for a while now.

I was also belittled around here as somehow being unable to evaluate something as simple as football for pointing it out.

He is the most clueless radio personality i have ever listened to. a complete idiot would rather tell you what his farts smell like then talk any sports. and when he talks sports he is a moron. think i would rate his knowledge just below that of TMD

I think the other radio host like having him there so they can pick on him cause he just takes it. Kinda the court jester for the radio station.

I generally don't. The only show I can stand on 1010 is Dempsey. But given today's circumstances I thought maybe I'd brave it...

Yea Dempsey is awesome. Dempsey uses football knowledge. The other shows use opinionated guesses.

If you think I offended you, don't worry, I meant to. #facts

Quote:Bortles knows what he has to do this offseason, work on his footwork. He doesn't need to worry about the playbook, this offseason is all about fundamentals
I agree with u 100%

I think if bb5 gets his footwork etc...together...

the play book won't be a big deal.

I wanna see a fast paced offense with BB5 doing 2hat he does naturally with better fundamentals.

man. If all that comes together

we good.

I didn't mind the play calling considering our youth.  However, if this gets rid of the ZBS, then I'm all for whatever it takes to get the Oline in sync.

T-wig gets on my nerves.  He just said that Gus was saying Bortles needs to be "spoon fed"

He just said his philosophy is not to overwhelm a young QB.  Keep it simple.  That pretty much falls in line with Bill Walsh and other great coaches in history.  Keep it simple.  Complexity is overrated.
