I certainly can't argue the offense was productive under Fisch.  My whole point in keeping him on was continuity for Bortles, Lee, et al.

 

I can only hope Fisch's replacement has a system that is easy for the guys to learn and be successful in.

 

I wouldn't mind Koetter (though thus far Atlanta has retained his rights).

 

Trestman and Morninwheg might be interesting, too.

I've purposly steered away from this thread for various reasons.


1st~I didn't think it would happen.

2nd~As I watched from the stands I wanted it to happen.

3rd~They the offense mut learn another offense.

4th~We'll repeat the First Year of the offense scenario (experienced but the new offense will take time to learn).

5th~Gus smartly realized how he's dependant upon the OC and.

I agree as I disagree as well. Sure, having to learn a new system is an setback but look at it this way. If Fisch isn't the answer at the position, why not jettison him now rather thay delaying the obvious handicapping the team, (offense) in the mean time...

Recently, I think his coaching leaves much to be desired. Reid was the main reason for Philadelphia's offensive success and Marty's time in New York was downright offensive, granted he didn't have a ton to work with. I don't think his offenses have done anything particularly noteworthy and by now he's a known commodity.

My whole family are Bear's fans.  When I asked them about Trestman they say away from the guy.  Do not pass go, do not collect $200.  The guy will lead you nowhere.  I don't pay much attention to the Bear's these days but my general perception is that the Bear's really struggled offensively.  Maybe he's one of those guys who would do better as an coordinator than a head coach (ala Jack Del Rio), I dunno.  I'm just saying.

I'd keep him as the WRs coach simply because he's so good at that. Becoming an offensive coordinator would mean that he's going to be focusing much more on game planning and less on the young wide receivers. Anyways he's been an offensive coordinator in Arizona and in his three seasons his offenses finished 20th, 29th, and 32nd.
