Quote:I can worry a little less about the Lions/Cowboys game because Ndamukong Suh will be allowed to paly in it. However I don't think that will be enough to win because Dallas simply is a much better team.

Why do you believe Dallas simply is a much better team?  With the emphasis on much.

Points scored: Cowboys 467, Lions 321

Touchdowns: Cowboys 56, Lions 35

Tony Romo > Matt Stafford

DeMarco Murray > Reggie Bush

Have the Lions done anything to prove they are better than the Cowboys?

When you get a chance,  please post the Defensive Stats.  Including Run Defense.   That might answer your question.

Tony Romo had a terrific season but his history in big spots is something he still needs to overcome in January.

DeMarco Murray is better than any Lions RB.   But in terms of the Lions RB's,   Joique Bell is the team's # 1 RB regardless of title.

The #1 matchup to watch obviously is Murray vs. Detroit's defensive line. I am looking forward to seeing a Lions player knock the ball out of his hand.

Arizona

Baltimore ( I hate Pittsburgh)

Cincinnati (Nothing against Indy just want Dalton to find some success)

Dallas ( I like that they where written off at the start of the season, honestly I think they might run the table)

If it wasn't for Suh I'd probably pull for the Lions but I'm over his thug like antics.

Let me get this straight:

If the Cowboys lose, the Cardinals/Panthers winner goes to Green Bay.

If the Cowboys win, the Cardinals/Panthers winner goes to Seattle.

So because I want the Cowboys to lose, I should root for the Panthers.

If that is not correct, I don't care who wins the first playoff game.

I'm pulling for Detroit, of the handful of teams that have never had a superbowl appearance they're the only one in the playoffs. Plus it'd be nice to see Rashean get a ring.

And every other former Jaguar. That team seems to be North Jacksonville because it has a lot of former Jaguars and used to have more.

However I am rooting for the Lions because I hate the Cowboys.

It should be obvious what I am. Why do you think my username has the word Jags?

I never cared about the Panthers either way.

The NFL playoffs are only hours away now. I can't wait for the AFC North rematch at 8:15. Sucks that the first game is not an exciting matchup.

I'll bet the first match up is very exciting to their fans and most of the people that live in those 2 cities.

Only the 2nd time in NFL history that a team with a losing record has made the playoffs, iirc.

NFL playoffs just 9 hours away and counting down..............................................

I don't want panthers to win. They had thier Super Bowl shot, and blew it. We haven't had ours still to this day. Rember we came in league at same time. I would prefer Jags win Super Bowl first. I can see Panthers going all the way this year. I would love to see detriot, and Bengals in the Super bowl, but Bengals will never never never ever get past first round. Lions game can go either way. I can see detriot winning in dallas.

#2 Defense in the league.

I think the Cowboys win a close one though.

Steelers, Cardinals, Cowboys, Bengals are my picks...although I want the Lions to win.

Marvin Lewis is 0-5 in the playoffs. This will be his 6th try in the last 9 seasons ('05, '09, '11, '12, '13, '14).

If they lose,, he'll still keep his job. You'd think if a coach goes 0-6 in the postseason that he'd be let go. But, I think the Bengals FO looks at it another way, similar to "most franchises would be thrilled to make the playoffs 5/6 past seasons and 6/9."

I have a personal disdain for PITT. Nothing would please me more than to see the Ravens beat them, and Cincy beating the Colts.

That would leave the AFCN Champs PITT sitting home while the Ravens/Bengals move on.

I know it's not very likely to happen, but that's what I'm rooting for this weekend.
