Counterfeit Gear

#1

She thought she was supporting the Buccaneers, not pirates. They're supporting thieves, not the Steelers. They're not supporting the Ravens, Eagles, Falcons, or Seahawks. They're supporting vultures. Counterfeit gear doesn't support your team and often supports criminal enterprises, so make sure your gear is authentic NFL gear. Buy authentic NFL gear.

Seriously? C'mon man! Thought this ad was a joke, sure Goodell was behind it. Apparently they're not making enough

At least the idea behind the commercial was correct. Unlike that god awful "we're now a Steelers/Bengals/Ravens/Eagles/Packers/Montreal Allouettes family" tripe.

Tell them to bring down that $300 price tag down on an authentic jersey then. I don't even buy on nflshop. I buy all my gear from jags shop except jerseys.

I do buy authentic NFL gear. I just ask my dad to browse the thrift shops down there for XL jerseys and grab one for me if he sees the right player's name on the back of it. Got myself Boselli, Brunell and McCardell jerseys that way. Costs me $10-20 for the jersey and $10 to ship. 70% savings over NFL outlets.

The counterfeit Bucs jersey in the commercial looks better than the actual Bucs jersey.

I had to look it up. Wow, talk about a weird commercial. If anything, I think that will drive more people who weren't aware of cheap knockoffs to search them out online.

The same thought crossed my mind. The NFL, in releasing a video urging people not to buy cheap knockoff gear, might have just encouraged people to buy cheap knockoff gear.

Most people I know have some authentic NFL merchandise to wear/use on gameday and then some cheap knockoff stuff they can wear and not worry if it gets dirty or damaged.

They forgot the Cardinals in that ad.

FansEdge or Football Fanatic has a page about telling the difference between real and fake jerseys. One way is the country it was manufactured in: all NFL-liscensed products are made in the USA.

The reason I went to that site was to see if they sell an authentic Blake Bortles jersey for less than $300. Unfortuantely if it is authentic, the price is fixed and you can't find it cheaper online.  Wallbash

Yeah.... Jerseys are too expensive. But I can get a custom elite jersey for 45 online. It is almost tempting as that is 300 everywhere else. I haven't gotten one, but it is tempting.

Custom jerseys are more expensive. If you saw one cheaper than $300 that is advertised as elite, stay away from it.

I'll be honest. The only reason I haven't bought a counterfeit jersey is because there are a couple of noticeable differences between them and the real ones. I know that it's wrong to do it, but if the quality was equivalent I'd do it in a heartbeat.

True. Most counterfeit are incredibly easy to spot even if you have no clue what to look for.

Step one would be the price tag: if your "authentic" jersey costs $19.99, it's probably not coming from Nike's factory.
