Quote:Im a bit surprised the score is as wide as it will be to end the game. The loss of Bell really hurt them.

Quote:The loss of Bell really hurt them.Oh yeah, thats why I picked the ravens to win it. Without bell they are a different team. They did get a safety since I typed the last post, wonder if they can get one more TD before the ravens head to NE?

Quote:Anyone sick of these domestic violence commercials? I liked them when they were actually people saying "No more" followed by an excuse for not talking about it. The switch to people not saying anything is what makes them boring now. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:I never realized the number of former gators on these two teams. Maurkice Pouncey, Marcus Gilbert, Matt Elam, who else?
Quote:Haha what a crazy last few minutes. Was awesome hearing them give Daryl Smith some credit! Yeah I was happy to see Daryl was the Raven who did it. I also heard the Ravens have a problem at left tackle without Eugene Monroe, which sounds like a compliment to him.

Three thoughts come to mind from this game:
1. The Ravens were able to overcome the loss of LT Eugene Monroe much better than the Steelers did with the loss of RB Le'Veon Bell. 2. The Patriots should be favorite against the Ravens. However, the team that has the best chance in the AFC to derail the Patriots season is the Ravens. The Ravens have won in the playoffs in New England twice in the John Harbaugh era. Even if the Patriots win the game, the physical toll from the game could prove costly the following week, 3. I'm surprised Ravens Defensive Coordinator Dean Pees isn't getting serious NFL HC consideration. Many former Ravens Assistants have gone on to have success with promotions elsewhere.

Offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak has already been a head coach in the NFL and won a couple division titles before last season. When I hear/read the name Pees, I think of a coach in the Mountain West Conference.

Somewhere, Frangie is sitting in the corner, crying.
For some reason, that makes me smile.
What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

That explains why someone as accomplished as Dean Pees probably won't get an NFL HC opportunity. It's a sad reality. It's a huge break for the Ravens, if Pees remains healthy and wants to coach for many more years. Dick LeBeau is around 77 and still does a fantastic job as Steelers D-Coordinator despite some that have called for his retirement in recent years. If LeBeau does retire, I hope it's on his terms.
