Teddy Countdown

Quote:Kaepernick barely even averages 200 yards passing a game. What happens when he takes that one fatal blow? Brakes his ankle? Tears his ACL, labrum, or achillies attempting to run the ball because he can't pass?

Newton, once again, isn't a pure mobile QB. He's a rare case of being able to make all the passes while being a very athletic QB. Let's not take away the fact that he scored a 6 on the wonderlic, (the biggest teller of successful franchise QBs in the NFL). Which is very low.

1. That's around the same as Alex Smith in the same offense. SF has mediocre receivers and a stout running game.. So why pass?

2. Newton scored a 21 on the wonderlic. http://www.sbnation.com/2011-nfl-draft/2...-nfl-draft

Russell Wilson is a pocket passer. He's not classified as a mobile QB. Just because he can escape the pocket, (ie. Ben Roethlisberger, Tony Romo, Andrew Luck, Aaron Rodgers), that doesn't make him a Mobile QB.

Vick was always inconsistent and injured. He always threw too many interceptions and had too many fumbles before he was sentenced. You can not have turnovers in this league, or you will lose. Period.

RG3 has regressed, a lot. He can't throw an accurate pass for his life, AFTER TEARING HIS ACL, AND HE'S NOW HURT AGAIN. WEIRD. That's exactly what I want, my franchise QB on the sideline! Might as well spend the #1 pick on a Gatorade cooler.

QBs that have to run to open passing lanes because they are hampered by either their mental makeup or short coming of their passing skills are not traits I want my franchise QB to have. Neither should you.
Wonderlic has very little bearing on who will be a successful franchise qb...After all Blaine Gabbert scored a 42 and McNabb scored a 14

What happened when he drafted a RT? We are the worst team in the NFL. Caldwell has one shot left to make or break his careet.

And you are a Gabbert fanboy. Why are you not in alcohol rehab?
Far from a Gabbert fanboy, that ship sailed a long time ago.

One of the best games I have ever seen from a college qb. His passing was phenomenal

The one thing that it love that he does is when he knows that he is going to check down to the RB, he still keeps his head downfield and the bam, he quickly snaps his head over and gets him the ball. It gets more yards every time. He really does a great job at manipulating defenses

Quote:Answer this question. Do you think Alabama/Ohio State would be better or worse with Teddy Bridgewater as QB? Those SEC teams that face better competition also generally have better teams because they have easier/better recruiting. As good as DeVante/Eli/Copeland are there is no way you can say Teddy isn't the reason they play the way they do.

This isn't a Geno > Tavon Austin situation.
No!!!!! Been a Bama fan for 32 seasons and Mccarron has done just fine! You just continue to spout off like you have any idea what you are talking about, yet you prove to be nothing but a numbers watcher over and over again!

McCarron is garbage, he plays around absolute studs. FSU wouldn't stand a chance against Bama if they had Bridgewater

You keep asking me this. I don't make any of these things. There are hundreds of Jaguars fans on Twitter who make these things. IE;

Still, seems like you are so up to date with anything Teddy related, not missing even a tweet from media pundits.

Should Teddy be on stalking alert if he were drafted here?

Well, a better example would probably be Marino than McNabb. Mcnabb really did make a lot of dumb plays on the field.

Quote:Getting the second pick and taking Clowney would be the best thing that ever happened to this franchise.  Than draft Manziel in the 2nd round and we have something going.

If the Jags could get Manziel in the 2nd I'd be ok with the above scenario

Yup that and a Bridgewater Manziel round 1,2 combo

Manziel play wide reciever, dang there is a reason why guys aren't decision makers.

Plus Manziel isn't going to want to sit be hind anyone. Besides their are bigger issues to worry about, a running back/ tight end would be a good start.

Well we will need a backup and could flip his value later would be better in the 3rd if he was there just saying not a lot of qbs will be left with mobility

You don't pick him up in the 2nd or hell even the 3, especially a read option guy. If he is available in the 5th or maybe (pending on the talent on the board) the 4th you chance on him. Mobility is bottom on my list in terms of what I am looking for in a potential franchise qb.

1. Pro style system

2. Intelligent progressions reader

3. Accuracy (includes ball placement and velocity control)

4. Poise under duress

5. Arm strength

6. In pocket mobility

7. Out of pocket mobility

8. Athleticism
