what do you mean? This wasn't Mariota's fault, he threw for 310 yards with no interceptions. they should have thrown a lot more, the run game was not working.

LeBron James just hugged Caldele Jones, though LBJ never went to college.

Saw Scott Frost in the booth. Scratch him off as an OC candidate. We need someone on the sideline to get in Bortles' face and coach him when he's twiddling his thumbs on the sideline

Quote:Wow Elliott. Is he draft eligible?

He will be next year.

Quote:If the Buckeyes win would this be considered the greatest coaching performance of Meyer's career?

Depends on what your definition of "greatest coaching performance" is.

Quote:Jones should come out after this game.

Who knows if he even starts the season next year (Barrett did set the Big 10 TD record)

Another year gives everybody more time to look at your faults.

Cardale Jones is not ready for the NFL yet. Remember he only finished blowouts before the Buckeyes needed him. That is why Ezekiel Elliott ran over 200 yards in all three games Jones started. If J.T. Barrett had started them, I bet Elliott would have half as many yards. NFL scouts are probably thinking Jones needs to start every game next season to develop as a passer.

Quote:These Ohio State turnovers are ridiculous. It shouldn't even be a close ball game right now, but they keep giving the ball up as they're driving the ball down Oregon throat.

It was so frustrating to see Ohio State get into field goal range only to give it back to Oregon. I told Mom the Jones fumble was the worst thing I ever saw him do.

Oregon obviously has no run defense. They knew Elliott ran over 200 yards in both games Jones started, so everybody should have been looking at #15.

Quote:The QB injuries with Barrett and Miller were a blessing in disguise.

Don't think they win it all with either of them.

I don't know about that. Elliott was the offensive MVP. It is not like Jones played better in three games than Barrett did in 12.

Or he had his best games with Jones at QB because teams respected him more as a passer with that arm. Barrett had impressive passing numbers, but he is limited with what he can with his arm. Jones can do it all.

If I'm Jones, I go early. Scouts may only have three games worth of tape, by my goodness, you can't do any better than what he did and the competiton. And it's not even a guarantee he starts next season. Get out while the getting is good before teams can pick you apart like they did with Hundley, Mariota, and Winston this year. I'd be surprised if he didn't go in the first two rounds unless he bombed interviews.

If scouts have only three games to watch, they won't be interested. Yes, they were all postseason games, but teams want to know exactly what they are getting and that is impossible with very little regular season film.

Um scouts will be more than interested after the show he put on these three games.

Teams will take a risk to find their franchise QB. Jones has the look of it, just not the experience. He wouldn't last past the second day of the draft, I'd imagine.
