If we decide to strengthen the FS position in the draft, or simply want to add depth, then maybe Chris Hackett from TCU is worth a look in rounds 3-4.


This highlight reel was uploaded in the last 24 hours and he looks like he could be really disruptive and appears to be capable of delivering a real hit. (Unlike some other Free Safeties in the frame...)

According to CBS he finished the season with 75 tackles and seven interceptions, six passes broken up and a forced fumble. He was named first team All-Big 12 by both the Big 12 coaches and the Associated Press.

Is he projected to go near the top of Round 4?

I like Paul Dawson in the 2nd because he seems to be the coverage LB the Jags need.

 

I like Chris Hackett in the 3rd (either him or Anthony Harris of Va.) because he is that tall Centerfield type FS that can still come up and lay the wood.

 

It is hard to argue that with these players. TCU fielded a heck of a defense.
