If we stay at the pick and dont trade back, who do you want?

I voted Perryman for lulz, basically. Generally speaking, I want the best available OL, DL or LB at that spot. I don't think there's a FS who fits at that spot, and I don't think there will be a running back available who offers greater value than the best player at those three positions would.
If he's there, Maxx Williams. It's impossible to know of course, but he looks like he could develop into an exciting player and a great outlet for an under-pressure Bortles.
Otherwise, Perryman, Kendricks or the best available Olinesman. Quote:If he's there, Maxx Williams. I pretty much agree with you except I'd add Dawson to the list.

I chose Kendricks as he looks to be a good linebacker for the future. He could spend a year learning from Poz (if he stays), and play OLB if needed. I know it isn't normal for a 2nd round player to sit, but he could be our future MLB.
I would choose Maxx Williams if Jesse James wasn't coming out. Maxx has more athletic ability, but I like the size of Jesse James. On a side note, what is an offensive limeman that is listed in the poll. I know what you meant, but thought it was funny.
It must be remembered that the Draft is the second punch of a 1-2 combination. I fully expect that the Jags will sign and thus pay (perhaps even overpay) a highly touted athlete to play TE for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Free Agency is about players that are ready to contribute immediately. The Draft is more of the Long Game. Thus I favor the selection of an ILB in Rd 2 because this is where the talent falls out in this draft around players like Denzel Perryman, Eric Kendricks and of course my favorite Paul Dawson of TCU. Of these three, I believe when the Draft comes around, Paul Dawson will be the most likely rated of these three.
There is always the chance that a highly rated player will drop to the Jags at Pick 36 and should that happen, the Jags will have to consider that player. I believe that Todd Gurley is just such a player. I don't expect the Gurley would be ready for Training Camp should he be selected but he should be available for the 2nd half of next season and he could be a singular factor that helps the Jags become a fully balanced Offense. I believe that Gus Bradley believes in Defense so he will invest long term in his defense, but I also believe that he wants a balanced Offense and Gurley could be that Franchise RB that can make the Jags a perrinial playoff team. It will obviously be interested to see how this offseason unfolds. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Williams/Kendricks/Dawson in that order. Everyone else can go jump in a lake.

Quote:I see no votes for 'Offensive Limeman' ... (insert punchline here)If we have another year with bad O line production I will literally puke.

Quote:I see no votes for 'Offensive Limeman' ... (insert punchline here) I guess anyone playing in the recent Bowl game between Miss State and Georgia Tech should qualify.
I'm a big fan of Gurley and if he's there and the docs say he should make a full recovery I'd have a hard time passing on him. Personally I'd move Gerhardt to more of an Alstott-type hybrid FB/HB role and drop Ta'ufo'ou.
Second choice would have been an OL. Favorite candidates are Ronnie Stanley, OT Notre Dame and Cameron Erving C/OT FSU. Both are monsters in the run game with the agility to work in a zone blocking scheme.

Quote:If we stay at the pick and dont trade back, who do you want?If those are the players on the board we gotta go Gerod Holliman play making FS like that is hard to find, and we need a guy who can pick the ball off and take it too the house, it would be like when we drafted R.Mathis.
