I remember a year or so ago, the Magic talked about setting up a NBDL team here in Jacksonville. I thought that would've been awesome. Currently their team is in Erie, Penn, but the Magic would like to have their team closer. I believe the Giants at one point wanted to eventually turn into a NBDL team?
Big win for the Magic last night over the Heat in Miami. Magic usually play well early and then lose it late in the 3rd or 4th quarter. Good to see them fight back and get a win. They've become a fun team to watch.

Still a year or two off but the future is bright. Great game last night that was back and forth late. Elfrid Payton is going to be awesome.

The Magic are so frustrating. They'll get behind, claw back in it, and lose in the end. It's been happening a lot lately and its tough to watch.
Some moves recently. Cavs get Smith, Shumpert and Mozgov. Definitely a better team.
Surprised there isn't more outrage that the Knicks traded two guys who play over 25 minutes (Shumpert when healthy) for just a single second round pick. Imagine if Philly did that...
Hoping the Magic make some room to call up Seth Curry. He has been playing out of his mind in the NBDL... .50 FG % .50 3 PT% .90 FT%. Dude is shooting over 50% from the 3 PT line. Make it happen, Henny.

I agree with the comment that this NBA season kind of sucks. The storylines that were all building up over the years is dead and below average is the theme of the Eastern Conference.
Think about the NBA 3-5 years ago: * Boston & Cleveland were battling for the conference title * LeBron forms the Big 3 * Nets obtain Garnett & Pierce and move to Brooklyn * Melo back to NYC * Bulls serious contenders * Lakers form Big 3 (Kobie, Dwight, and Nash) * Indiana emerges as legit title contender * Thunder favorites in the West (Westbrook & Durant lead youth movement) * Aging Spurs look to remain a power (understatement of the decade - lol) FAST FORWARD TO 2015 * Hawks & Warriors lead their conferences. * Lakers, Celtics, Sixers, Knicks all suck. * LeBron moves back to Cleveland but is hanging out on South Beach getting medical treatment * Wizards on the rise but nobody cares. * Spurs don't give a crap about the regular season * Thunder -- banged up. * Bulls - banged up. The playoffs will be good but man, this regular season is bad
Victor Oladipo is the real deal y'all. Payton on the assist. This team starting to play well.

They are playing with much more pace and movement on the offensive side. It looks like the game is starting to slow down for Oladipo and Payton seems to be more comfortable with handling this offense. His defensive potential is off the charts, but I feel that if he can develop a consistent floater (he can get into the lane anytime), that's all he will really need. I am excited to see how Tobias and Aaron Gordon will fit in once they return. Nik Vucevic is a top 5 big man in this league. There's no doubt about that. Better off without him? Not sure, still a big work in progress on the whole as a team, but if they can find where he truly fits, then this team is better off because individually he's a player.

Anybody think LeBron, if he had it to do over again, would have stayed in Miami at least one more year, then go back to the Cavs this season?
At this point, I'm thinking that's very possible. Also would give him the opportunity to go to 5 straight Finals. Miami brass would have brought in some FA to help him in that quest. It sure doesn't look like the Cavs will make the Finals this year, the way they have been playing. LeBron will have to carry them there by himself, and they pretty much have no playoff experience.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Quote:I absolutely think he wishes he stayed, and I would venture to say he would've liked to finish in Miami if he had to do it all over again. He left purely as a PR stunt. He knew people were still mad at him for leaving Cleveland the way he did, and he was trying to make up for it. I think Lebron thought he could win a championship on any team he was on. Watching this team goes against the argument that one amazing player can make a team in the NBA. It proves that you have to have some good pieces around them to make it work. Let me also add, Lebron as a gm is a terrible idea. That coach will be gone shortly as well.
Aaron Gordon is active for the Memphis game tonight, not sure if he will play though.

Like most things it is comi g together at the right time and staying healthy. They are actually 20-12 when he plays, which if he stays healthy may end up getting them a fairly high seed in the playoff in the Eastern Conference. And it was obvious even before he sat out two weeks that he was not healthy while playing, and seems more like his old self since returning. So if they get a decent seed and stay healthy once the playoffs begin , who knows they could make the finals.

To the casual NBA fan who is only interested in superstar headlines, yeah. The other way to look at it is The Bucks are a nice surprise with Mayo and looking to move up in the east by adding Martin. John Wall should be in the talk for MVP. Millsap, Teague, and Horford are developing something special in Atlanta.
Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.
