The same way the Packers hired the 32nd place OC in 2005 to be their head coach in 2006.   Mike McCarthy. 

 

It's not about stats.   It's about can the guy coach.   McCarthy was OC for the 49ers in 2005 and they were last in the league in yardage and points.   The Packers hired him anyway, and he won a Super Bowl.

We actually have talent at WR, which is not something that Olson had in Oakland.  Also, they had one of the worst set of RBs I've ever seen until they finally let Murray start.  If Olson was any credit to how Carr and that O-line did despite all that, then I think he's an upgrade from Fisch.

SF was a poor offensive team GB had studs everywhere.

I don't think that's a testament to anything.  Gabbert sucked as was overdrafted.  No amount of coaching was really helping that situation.
