Chip Kelly already plotting to trade up for Mariota?

Quote:The Eagles have the 20th overall pick in the draft, and Mariota isn’t expected to be available by that point, but NJ.com reports that the team is already committed to trying to move up in the draft to acquire Mariota.

“From No. 20, it’s certainly not going to be easy,” an unnamed source told NJ.com. “It’s probably going to take moving up twice to do it. There’s going to be some wheeling and dealing involved. Can it happen? I don’t know. But they’re going to try.”

If Tampa passes on Mariota for Winston and Tennessee goes for the best available pass rusher should Caldwell take a trade down deal?

This is an interesting subject and likely one that will dominate pre-draft headlines. Which QB does TB take? Does Tennesee take one? If Tennesee doesn't believe in Mariota, They would be beyond brainless to NOT trade the eagles for a treasure trove of picks.

If Tennesee fails and Mariota falls to 3, Christmas comes early for caldwell.

Can't wait to see whats next.

You have to think, though.. the Titans have to know as well that the Eagles are wanting to trade up. Knowing that and knowing that it could help set up a division rival quite well in the future, wouldn't they want to take the deal? Would they rather have Leonard Williams or the 3-4 1st round picks plus more they would get by trading down with the Eagles?

The eagles will likely send foles and some draft picks to Tennessee or Tampa.

The jaguars arent likely to get the deal but this pretty much should make us all comfortable knowing Williams will still be there when we pick.

I don't know how much I buy the rationale that they'll have to move up twice or even be able to.  The first leg would have to be done before draft day if not both and there's still uncertainty that the player would even be there after you've already committed to move up the first time unless you ultimately move up to the #1 overall pick.  That statement makes me doubt the "source" referenced in the quote is credible.  Sounds more like someone pulling things out of you know where.

I think if they do trade up, it's far more likely that it is a one trade deal.  It's going to be costly either way.

What would you want for the 3rd pick? Two first rounders have to be given to JAX

I guess 27 TD and 3 Int is not good enough. Geeze Foles needs to go somewhere he is appreciated.

2016 1st Round Pick

2016 4th Round Pick

I'd ask for thirds instead of 4ths in 15/16. Then id make the deal work all day long

This is probably what it will take.

Who will be available at 20? As in, who would be our draft pick at 20?

in 2012, the Redskins moved from 6 to 2 and gave up the following.......

2012 1st round

2012 2nd round

2013 1st round

2014 1st round

Even though they gave up way too much to move up 4 spots, this is the minimum of what I'd want to move down to 20.

Heck no the Rams got 3 1st round picks and a 2nd in the RG3 trade and they only dropped back a few spots, dropping to 20 they better give me 2 1st a 2nd and a  starter like somebody said Ertz

If you went by the standard the RG3 trade created youd be asking for like :

Three 1st rounders (one swap and the following 2 years)

Two 2nd rounders

Then add in maybe a 3rd in one year and a 4th the following year. It would be nuts.

I say go for a king's ransom and take it, if philly really wants him let them trade up to do it. The only question is will the tacks if they aren't picking up on of the QBs try and trade out for the same thing?

I can't imagine the Eagles being willing to give anyone Zach Ertz, but that would be awesome if they did.

For moving down 17 spots, I would definitely what their second rounder as well as the 2016 first . . . and Zach Ertz. There is no reason to trade out of the top 10 without a player included in the offer.
