It's Senior Bowl week!
|
Has this been the quietest Senior Bowl week ever? And has it always been this early in the offseason? For some reason I was thinking it was always in early February. Completely forgot to set my DVR to record the practices today. And part of the reason is because I havent heard one person talking about it. NFLDraftCountdown usually has a live at the Senior Bowl on their website but I dont see it. WalterFootball has some stuff I guess. Just havent seen the same coverage or talk on the draft sites as usual.
I thought Sammie Coates would be a little bigger than his 6'1, 210 size. He looks bigger on the field. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. Draft philosophy is all fluff. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
The Senior Bowl has always been in January. I think one reason is it quiet this year is the Jaguars are interviewing coaches to fill some offensive assistant jobs so everyone is more excited about that than players. The game itself is going to be much louder here.
Nick Marshall officially moving to corner for the south team at 6'1" 205 and working with Gus I wouldn't be surprised if we take him assuming he does well.
Bryan Bennett of Southeastern Louisiana is the new QB added to the senior bowl 6'3 215. Quote:
Did Marshall say why he wanted to play on defense? That looks weird for a college quarterback.

Quote:Did Marshall say why he wanted to play on defense? That looks weird for a college quarterback. NFL scouts and GMs had little interest in him as a QB. They projected him as a WR or CB. He'd have a hard time breaking thru as a 6'1 NFL WR whos never played the position(at least to my knowledge) or he could play as a 6'1 CB also being raw but with his measureables and athletic ability make him stand out. Put him on special teams first season and just let him learn and develop and by year 2 you might have a gem.
Quentin Rollins from Miami (OH) is another intriguing CB
5'11 195 played PG for the basketball team for 4 years with over 200 steals before making the move to football for a season. Quote:NFL scouts and GMs had little interest in him as a QB. I saw this quote and thought the same thing: Quote:Jaguars coach Gus Bradley, who is coaching the South team in the Senior Bowl, said Marshall was up front with him from the start about his desire to play defensive back. http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=12200296&src=desktop&rand=ref~%7B"ref"%3A"https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F"%7D Could be a late round flier.

Just got finished watching Caldwell's presser earlier today. He said that a couple of players participating in the senior bowl will be on our roster come May. Besides Marshall who are some other guys you think he could be referring to?

Our TE coach, Ron Middleton, was apparently praising Clive Walford's route running today and seems to be having some good practices. He could be a day two pick for us.
You gotta think that they are taking a hard look at Perryman, the LB from Miami and Cody Prewitt, the Safety from Ole Miss.
Regarding Prewitt, he was named an All American, led the SEC in interceptions, and has played every game in his collegiate career.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
Todd Walsh was smiling ear to ear watching this guy go against the O-Line.
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/profiles/j...id=2552284 Could be the eventual replacement for Red Bryant or Roy Miller depending on how you like his fit.

Quote:You gotta think that they are taking a hard look at Perryman, the LB from Miami and Cody Prewitt, the Safety from Ole Miss. My lord that is exactly what we need. A ball hawking safety to make plays in the back field. Our defense was good, but lacked the big interception.

Just coverage and tackling ability would be an upgrade, but I agree if we can get a ball hawk it would be awesome. Is Cody Prewitt supposed to go early in the second round? |
