Jags Hire Greg Olson as OC

Nice to see you back from a long hiatus. Banned I assume?

Quote:I think you should really consider finding yourself another team. It would be so less stressful on you. Maybe you could petition Baskin Robbins to start up a flag football team with you as the GM since you like to bring them up so much.
Maybe you are right and that same team could come to everbank and blow them out like the Jags normally are handled.  Gus would leave the Jags cause we know how much he loves ice cream.

Quote:Bradley is such a joke. It's no coincidence the seattle defense seems to be playing even better now that he's gone. After the whole Tony Robbins rah rah rah speech he is in his own world.
Yeah you're right. Him leaving is the only factor in them playing better. Absolutely nothing changed on their defense and everything he did just dragged them down.

Now this is something I NEVER thought I would see on a Jags MB.

Obviously I was wrong.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

I totally get it. Some of you are sheep and will blindly follow the wolf into his den. I see the light and for this team it's looking really dark. Wow this team knows how to screw up
Lol, aren't you a sheep? You are still FOLLOWING this "hot mess" of a team. Nothing you do just like any fan is changing what the Jaguars are doing. I just find the whole sheep phrase so ironic.

Everyone here is a sheep. You are either a sheep who complains/whines, praises or lets things play out. You don't see the light. You just follow with a dark cloud constantly raining on you.

Quote:Players AND plays.

LOL, thanks for this!  I was about to have an anyuerism!

Quote:What about players THEN plays?

Meh...

Quote:The whole notion is that players are vastly more important than plays. Don't be so dramatic over the obvious.

The more important factor is his ability to teach fundamentals so execution of plays can occur.

You realize that within 1 line you contracticted yourself?  Oh man...  Nevermind, I don't want to get into this arguement tonight!

Wait, I have to say it...

The concept of players not plays means that coaching isn't important...  But if that's the case, teaching fundamentals would not be important, because--- You know, players not plays....

LOL...

OK, there I said it.  Coaching is important, just as important as the talent.  And in some cases coaching is more important than the talent.  In other cases, coaching may be less important.  But teaching fundamentals is part of the whole "plays" angle of the "player not plays" arguement...

OK, I'm done.  Continue on bashing one another for how one feels about the hire of a coach.  :-)

I almost thought someone was quoting The Onion. But sadly I realized it's about all you got when you're a head coach who is 7-25.

No, but thanks for your positive encouragement.  I have learned that bans here get put on anyone with an opinion that's not dripping with teal kool aid though.  Kind of a shame.

Hey - the self-pity card. Wisely done. You'll need it again soon I'm sure.

Does anybody else find it hard to buy Dave and Gus's explanation for the hire? The organization that claims to be a champion of analytics is led by two men who said statistics and numbers had NOTHING TO DO WITH the Olson hire. What. The. Hell.

I asked mid-season, and I'll ask again: what part of the last two years has actually gone according to the so called "plan"?

Thanks once again for jumping in and adding nothing of value.

Breaking News: Olson has a deep connection with Ben and Jerry's that heavily swayed Gus decision.

*The Jags offered the OC position to both Gase and Trestman. Both turned it down*

Us armchair GMs will never know what happened behind those closed doors.

I feel confident that the OC position has been offered and turned down. I don't see that as a point in the Jaguars' favour.

Glad we can cement our place as a forgetful flop.

No pain, no gain.
