After 2011 he came in to jacksonville as our QB Coach/asst headcoach and didn't really make much of an impact, left the following year to Oakland where he lead the Raiders to the 24th ranked offense in 2013 and the 31st ranked offense in 2014.

For what it's worth,  Greg Olson was only the Lions Offensive Coordinator for  5 games of the 2005 season.   That was following the firing of Steve Mariucci and the demotion of Offensive Coordinator Ted Tollner to TE Coach.   In 2004,  Olson wasn't the OC.  Sherman Lewis was.   But Olson did become the Offensive play caller for the final 3 games.    Hence,  Olson called plays in 8 games.   Relatively speaking for a team with a problematic QB situation,   the Offense was better in those 8 games than in most of the other games.    Olson seemed more vertical passing oriented than the other coaches that called plays in those seasons.

my guess is a fairly intelligent man in his late 30s whose family has decent but not great money and he also collects disability so he is comfortable with money and can spend his time online perfecting the art of trolling and impersonation.

 One thing that I have noticed is factual mistakes regarding Greg Olson regarding his history.   Case in point,  the info that OP came across.

 

 An accurate piece of information I'll post below is from the Raiders website.   They mention the difference the Lions made in moving the ball when Olson took over the play calling in 2004.   Compare that to what you witnessed when the Jaguars beat the Lions in OT in mid November,   when the only Offense the Lions got all day long was from RB Kevin Jones.   If not for the punt returning of Eddie Drummond,  that game wouldn't have been close to going to OT:
