I keep going back and forth. If I had to pick anyone it would be the pats.

This is a hard one to pick.

If you look at each of their last games, one could easily pick the Pats, but Seattle just seems to find a way to win, even when they don't play well.

Of course they won't be able to play as poorly in the Super bowl as they did for 3+ quarters against the Packers.

It's just tough to pick this one, because it could go either way.

It's just hard to imagine either team getting blown out like the Broncos did last year.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Curious what cheats or new rules Pats will use in the Super Bowl

They did not make up new rules. The crazy formations allowing players to be eligible one play and ineligibe the next already were allowed in the NFL. But I expect them to lose a lot of money before game day because of cheating.

Quote:Bucky Brooks offers five ways the Seahawks can beat the Patriots:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...e-patriots

1. Make the zone-read the focal point of the offensive game plan.

2. Play a clean game on both sides of the ball (no penalties).

3. Challenge New England's receivers with bump-and-run coverage.

4. Stop LeGarrette Blount with loaded boxes.

5. Be aware of quirky formations and exotic alignments.

This will be hard. I don't remember the last game we had less penalties than our opponent. I like agressive play, but most of the penalties are pre-snap and stupid. I expect Michael Bennett to jump offside at least twice (he's one of my favourite players but I don't understand how he can't be more disciplined about that) on 3rd&7 to make it a lot easier 3rd&2 for Tom Brady to convert. And I also expect 4 or 5 false starts on offense. I'm already used to that, but still drive me crazy everytime. Hopefully we'll avoid personal fouls (I'm looking at you Ricardo Lockette). We also need to win a turnover battle.

Other than that I think Bucky Brooks made good points.

Quote:Some of the quarterbacks who won at least one Super Bowl are: Bart Starr, Joe Namath, Bob Griese, Doug Williams, Ken Stabler, Roger Staubach, Terry Bradshaw, Jim McMahon, Phil Simms, Joe Montana, Steve Young, Troy Aikman, Brett Favre, John Elway, Kurt Warner, Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, and Joe Flacco. I probably missed a couple names of elite, Super Bowl winning quarterbacks. So winning the Super Bowl is more likely if a team has a great quarterback than just a game manager even if the defense is elite. I just named over half of the Super Bowl winning quarterbacks.

You missed some names? Or Google did?

Wonder if the Pats will pull a 49er and cut the power to the stadium

I don't know the name of all 48 Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks. Was Johnny Unitas one of them? I was going off memory, not looking it up on Google.

FYI the power outage was on San Francisco's sideline. Why would the 49ers want to make their side dark?

And the problem was something inside the stadium, not outside, that went wrong.

Injury updates:

All Patriots starters practiced, but some players were limited.

Safety Earl Thomas and guard J.R. Sweezy missed practice.

Does anybody think the NFL will change how it handles footballs, especially the dozen New England uses?

Seattle cornerbacks sure know how to trash talk about what happened two seasons ago.

About Tom Brady, Richard Sherman said, "He was just pretty much saying we were nobodies and that we should come up to him after they got the win."

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...es-in-2012

About Rob Gronkowski, Jeremy Lane told the Seattle Times, "I actually don't think he's that good, He's OK. But he does have a big body, and from what I've seen on tape, he don't like your hands being put on him. So if we put our hands on him and shake him up a little bit, he won't catch that many balls as he should."

Get ready for somebody at New England to talk back. I hope these comments don't backfire on the Legion of Boom.

Bill Belichick compared Russell Wilson to Roger Staubach.

"I can't really put it into words. Wilson's just got an instinctiveness. He just knows where people are," Belichick said. "It looks like he's going to get tackled and he doesn't. It kind of reminds (me) of watching Staubach. You think he doesn't see them, but he sees them or somehow he just knows they're there."

One week left to wait for Super Sunday!

Good news in the injury department: Pete Carroll said Earl Thomas could play this weekend if he had to. However, he was limited in practice after missing the first two days and is listed as questionable.

All other injured Seahawks are probable. All injured Patriots are questionable.
