Sopoaga and a 6th rounder. So the Eagles move up about 16 spots in the draft with that trade. Wow, what a steal.

As part of the trade, the Eagles are giving the Patriots a 6th Round pick back.

The Eagles announced they traded 330-pound nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga and a sixth-round pick to the Patriots in exchange for a fifth-round pick.

Off the top of my head, I don't recall Isaac Sopoaga's contract situation. On the surface though, it seems like a good trade for the Patriots.

Yep, we sat on our roster.

Caldwell's entire trading before the deadline consisted of getting fleeced by the Ravens for a 4th & 5th rounder for Monroe. Wonderful.

Why the hell did we bother changing GM's again?... for asthetics?...

It ended at 4pm ET but it's possible one or more trades could still be announced later today.

You've been trying to use failure to trade our overpriced veterans to unsuspecting teams to build your foolish case against Caldwell.

It won't work.

Find another reason. Don't worry, there are plenty, and they actually exist, as opposed to this imaginary tactic you're employing.

On topic: Jairus Byrd and Jared Allen, 2 players with more talent than anyone on the Jags, also had no takers. Cleveland also shopped Josh Gordon pretty hard, and found no one.

With all the deals made today, I can't believe Caldwell didn't get in on the action...

Imagine; 30 woefully incompetent GM's who couldn't trade their soon-to-be Free Agent players for Third Round selections.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Its kinda hard to make a trade when you have no trade value.

How exactly do you know Caldwell didn't try and get a trade done?

This isn't the NBA, there are rarely if ever blockbuster trades at the NFL deadline. Not sure why you are surprised?

Buffalo's GM is a moron too.

If I was the Jags, I'd have explored a Cecil Shorts for a Jairus Byrd deal. Buffalo claimed that they wanted a young player in exchange for Byrd and Shorts could have helped them.

Byrd is young enough that he could have been a staple in our defense for 6+ years. He'd have been the Earl Thomas for Bradley's D and actually would have been a perfect fit.
