Would you want him as a developmental corner?

Are there any other cases of a college QB going on to be a successful DB at the next level?

Huh

I'd rather develop an actual corner.

You know, he might be a nice little luxury pick. Stay with me on this:

Draft Marshall and work him up as a DB, maybe a Safety, maybe a Corner, whatever you need. However! You also keep his Read Option skills up to speed, and have him work with the Running Backs and even the Receivers on the run/pass read.

Now you've got yourself a dual threat quarterback that, if he gets injured, you've still got depth at both positions.

Just something to think about.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

1. I refuse to stay with you.

2. I will NOT think about this!

He was a defensive back in high school and when he was at Georgia before he was kicked out. It's not like this is something completely new to him.

He's athletic enough and has the speed for it. It would take him a year or two to develope if he ever does, but for a 5th or so pick, I'd take him. He would least be good at Special teams and a solid ST player like Osgood is never appreciated until they are gone

I could live with this late on, I personally dont think he's that much of a write off as a QB

7th rounder -- Heck Yeah.

Imagine the gadget plays you could run with the 3 former QBs in the lineup

This.

It depends a little on how he handled the change this week but all I've seen is positive in his change. Gus was encouraged by his attitude and willingness to make the switch. That attitude is important. He's got the talent to do it, the willingness to put the work in is key. Our staff and scouts will get a first hand look at this and I wouldn't be shocked in the least for him to be a Jaguar next year.
