Marcus Mariota Vs Teddy Bridgewater

College GameDay @CollegeGameDay 2h
ESPN Experts’ Heisman Poll: 1. Mariota 2. Winston 3. Manziel 4. Petty 5. Gordon 6. McCarron 7. Carey 8. Mannion 9. Seastrunk 10. Boyd
Expand I think Petty will be better than RG3 in the pro's. Seastrunk could be an option for us in the 2nd i just don't know if Caldwell will take a RB that high. I am also high on Cyril Richardson and he is one of the reasons Baylor's offense is so good. Only if there was a way we could get all 3. Ready to see what Petty can do against Oklahoma next week.
We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Quote:What makes you say the bolded?Dude has a big arm, he is bigger, doesn't run much, and I think he is more accurate. I am ready to see him a against a better team though. RG3 is like Vick, he is just too skinny and gets hurt too much. Cam and Kap are running QB's but are a lot bigger and can take the hits, why they aren't always hurt like Vick and RG3. Does anyone remember when Robert Griffin emerged as a legit NFL prospect were Colts fans as a whole indecisive on who they wanted with their potential no.1 pick? Or was is "suck for luck" all the way?

Ok thanks I've never seen Petty play but I know he's been putting up the stats and has good measurables.

They go against 3 ranked teams in a row in the top 18. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Yes....the 49ers defense is winning games...I agree.Right, the fact that their offense put up 30+ points in 6 of 8 games means nothing. Did you even watch the game on Sunday? Kaepernick was unstoppable.
Quote:Yes. He's nothing like Garrard. Mariota is a much better athlete, yes. As a passer though they both are average. But I know some of you are just hell bent on getting that "athletic" QB back there.... Not me, I'll take a QB that actually has skills in PASSING the ball, thank you.
Quote:Mariota is a much better athlete, yes. As a passer though they both are average. Why do you feel the need to make stuff up? And the fact that you put him on par with Garrard after less than 2 years of college ball is impressive. Can't believe you don't have a job in an NFL scouting department.
Quote:Why do you feel the need to make stuff up? Nothing made up. Its quite easy to assess the support for Mariota from a sect of this board. For you to pretend as if it doesn't exist is funny. And its obvious that that sect likes Mariota (and QB of this ilk for their athleticism, since he is an average passer at best). Same with the Garrard comparisons.....whats being compared is their passing ability, not their athleticism, I already said that Mariota looks a lot more athletic than Garrard. Or, you guys must simply OVERrate what you are seeing in terms of the passing ability of Mariota. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Mariota has 0 interceptions and passes all day. His accuracy is absolutely astounding. Pocket presence is solid. Deep ball is slightly above average. He is a mobile QB.
To say he is like garrard is completely insulting. Garrard never had the accuracy that Mariota has NOW in college. With that said, I wouldn't be disappointed with bridgewater. The man throws a deep ball that looks as good as Tom brady's. As long as we get one or the other, I think this franchise will go from 1-2 wins to 7+ in one year.
Quote:Mariota has 0 interceptions and passes all day. His accuracy is absolutely astounding. Pocket presence is solid. Deep ball is slightly above average. He is a mobile QB. Screens & short passes all day long. Garrard never had that benefit. Mariota should be at 80% completion pct in that offense.
Quote:Screens & short passes all day long. Garrard never had that benefit. Mariota should be at 80% completion pct in that offense. Why is it so hard for you and the other detractors to acknowledge Mariota's advantages? Rhetorical question! Because it hurts to give credit to another top rated QB. Because your afraid to be open and possibly wrong about your perceived savior. Teddy is a pretend QB. He should be blowing out his competition and stat padding like a stat thief. But he can't. Jameis Winston makes Teddy look like a poser. When your supposedly the best QB prospect should't you be putting up Heisman numbers?

I bet you drooled when Tim Tebow dropped to our pick, and threw a huge tantrum when he wasn't taken. Gotta love his Heisman numbers.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

And he runs a pro-style offense.
