Who will be our first round pick?
Basically: Head - Who we should draft. Heart - Who you want us to draft. Gut - Who you think we will draft. H: Teddy H: Teddy G: Clowney We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Head: Bridgewater makes the most sense. Period
Heart: Bridgewater, again, makes the most sense Gut: The Jaguars select Clowney, shock everyone by trading back into the first and selecting Manziel. I'm still not convinced that Manziel will even go in the top 15. Talent is nothing if the attitude isn't right and that'll set some teams off from selecting him, but the Jaguars haven't had attitude at the QB position for 3 years now. If Manziel and Clowney are as good as advertised, then the Jaguars have just turned themselves into a playoff squad I honestly wouldn't be upset with a Clowney/Manziel package, but selecting Bridgewater makes the most sense and is the safest option.

Mariota
Teddy Teddy......if GS was still here it would be a guard from eastern western northern who heard of you state!! We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Head: Bridgewater
Heart: Clowney Gut: Bridgewater QB is always the most important position, but Clowney is going to be the best player in the draft.
Quote:Head: BridgewaterClowney is going to be a wash, especially if he goes to the Bucs. He is going to have a hard-a** for a coach, I don't know if he functions under such conditions. His measurable s are off the charts but I am worried about what is between the ears and the heart

Quote:Manziel might be 5'11.So the plan is to draft an undersized spread option qb who has no experience in working pro style system who's accuracy isn't the greatest and doesn't have a cannon arm...gene smith and david caldwell should have their offices cleaned out if they go with such a senseless decision.
Quote:Why do people think that a 6'1 200lb spread option qb who depends on his legs is going to be successful long term in the NFL? Mark Brunell is 6-1 and was a mobile quarterback until he tore two knee ligaments. You don't think he was pretty successful? Johnny Manziel does not depend on his legs as much as Braxton Miller.
Quote:Mark Brunell is 6-1 and was a mobile quarterback until he tore two knee ligaments. You don't think he was pretty successful?SPREAD OPTION, He runs the spread option, he is not a pro style qb. Mark Brunell came from the pro style system at Washington, you can't even compare the two. You guys really don't understand the gap between the two offenses, its night and day...That is why Gabbert has struggled, you take away his initial reads, he panics and holds the ball too long. The rest is history

Head - bridgewater
Heart - NA at the moment Gut - clowney or trade down, somehow i have the feeling that in true jaguar fashion we will blow the #1 overall pick with a December victory.
Quote:Why do people think that a 6'1 200lb spread option qb who depends on his legs is going to be successful long term in the NFL? In the end, it comes down to whether he's a good QB or not, and people think he's a good QB, which is why he's so high on most mock drafts. I don't think he'll be better than Bridgewater but you'd be a fool to write him off already. Manziel is incredibly talented and compensates very well for his height.
