Give Denard A Shot

Robinson doesn't even look dynamic out there. If he is supposed to emulate a Percy Harvin type of player he has a lot of catching up to do because I don't see it.

Just like Tebow, Denard is not an NFL QB. I love the guy, but he's not an NFL QB. He needs to work on his current position craft. We need a real QB and that ain't coming till the draft lol
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

As a Colts fan I'll 2nd the motion to start Denard for the next game  After that, ya might try Stanzi for an actual chance.
Quote:Give him more reps at practice and set aside several possessions for him. A lot of nerves taking 1 snap a game from the QB position, don't ya think? You don't get it because what you're trying to make a point with doesn't exist. You've done nothing but put words in people's mouths and ignore any decent and logical arguments with petty shots or comments. Denard is not a QB. Not now. Notnin the future. Putting him at QB does no good for his future or the teams. I don't even care for him in the "Wildcat" situations. He looks lost and raw enough olaying RB/WR. He needs all the reps he can get at those positions to learn from. He's a project WR/RB with potential but he's very raw. I want to see him play a position that he has a future at. Again, QB is not one of those positions. Stanzi should get his opportunity to start at QB and Denard should get his opportunities at WR and RB. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:Chad Henne just tried to throw it to our right tackle. Can you blame for for wanting to at least see Stanzi or Denard taking snaps?Yes. You're impeding the progress of Denard's development at other positions by trying to throw him in at QB.
THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.
RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
first off, Henne wasn't trying to throw the ball to the tackle. That is crap. He was avoiding a sack and threw it to a uniform, ANY JAG UNIFORM, to avoid a sack. Smart move really. He actually got away with intentional grounding if anything. Not that Henne was spectacular Sunday, but he had quite a few drops, Shorts in the end zone for one. Shorts catches the TD, and Henne doesn't throw a pick 6 a couple plays later. Batted balls like volleyball players also did not help. Bottom line, Henne moved the team, He didn't look pathetic throwing dirt balls on screens, and he is trying to make something happen with next to nothing at TE and WR while getting killed by the line collapsing.
Bottom line, making chicken salad out of chicken sht is not easy. This is not to say Henne was great, or that Henne is the answer, or I love Henne. Clearly he is not. But he looked better yesterday than Blaine has looked. Henne can have some terrible, really terrible days, but Yesteryday was not one of those terrible days. He did Ok, given the total Circumstances. But to subject of thread, Denard at QB? Someone has lost their mind. Emphatically NO. In fact, I am not sure why there is a roster spot at all for the quote "offensive weapon". If he was drafted with trick plays in mind or to get the ball to him in space, it is not being done. He may be fast, but there are tons of fast guys who don't fit a position. Just like Tebow may be a great college player, Denard is about the same deal. Trying to train him to be a wide receiver or running back in the NFL because he was fast and shifty in college is probably a losing proposition, that idea of "change a player" or "train a player" at the NFL level rarely works. See Matt Jones and many others. Sometimes GM's get so giddy over speed, they get a guy that has little use on a team because of other deficiencies. So whose idea was it to draft this guy? I don't care how low it was, and how little he costs, he takes a roster spot. Use it on a guard/center. As far as KR, well he doesn't really seem to want to bring it out, and the rules now have made kickoffs hard to return even if he had the want and will to bring it out. Keeping a player just for Kickoffs has become outdated with most balls being kicked to the back of the end zone. Players like this, Robinson and even Sanders, getting hyped by the GM and coach endlessly, and then contributing NOTHING, and will probably continue to contribute nothing, franchise QB or not, are some of the first bad moves by Caldwell. He should have picked up some centers and guards instead of Robinson. I hope the GM improves and grows into his new job.
lmao. I thought they meant at running back. I'd rather see Stanzi than Denard at QB.

Quote:What is there to lose? Jacksonville isn't getting a first down regardless, why not give it a shot for the 1% chance he provides a spark? I have not been impressed with Denard's ability to run or catch so why not give him a chance to throw then? We need Tim Tebow he is a much better OW than DR. I will laugh if Oakland beats Denver tonight. Cause all it will say is were not a bad team just played real tough ones.

The schedule is always tough, but new coach, new system and we get to start out with the challenges of geography and playing a couple good teams? Yeah, that contributes too. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato
Good try RealTimeRadio.. Denver does not lose to Oakland tonight....

Honestly I'd rather go with Robinson. Pryor was not great either yet he beat us. Vick was not a great college QB. Yet he destroyed us. So excuse me if would like to see some excitement and at least a chance.
Because both Blaine and Chad are not getting it done. And college wins mean nothing in Nfl hows Mccoy doing?

#Gojags Quote:I have not been impressed with Denard's ability to run or catch so why not give him a chance to throw then? So much better that he's found himself on no NFL roster by week 3. I like Tebow as a person, he's a great kid. His NFL days are very likely over. Quote:Honestly I'd rather go with Robinson. Pryor was not great either yet he beat us. Vick was not a great college QB. Yet he destroyed us. So excuse me if would like to see some excitement and at least a chance. He's not going to be a QB. It's only going to happen in an emergency situation and a couple run option plays they stick in. Robinson needs to stick to learning his true positions and improve on that. He needs the experience. |
