The Seahawks showed us their true colors at the end of the game...

I'm not defending the Seahawks Defenders involved.   Yet,  the Head Coach of the New England Patriots is anything but someone who signifies good sportsmanship.

Yeah that was classless. But so were the Seahawks for starting a fight and not accepting defeat.

Agreed,  from the standpoint of the Seahawks players that caused the fight.

It was one maybe two guys that that started trouble. Please come down off your high horse and stop generalizing. Every team has had guys that have done something similar including the Jags. Does that mean the whole organization is classless?

Quote:We know the Seahawks by reputation. It's not hard to believe it was on them.

Reputation?

Correct me if I am wrong, but the Patriots, not the Seahawks, have a former player of theirs currently on trial for murder, and is the prime suspect in several other murders.

It's the Patriots, not the Seahawks, who have a guy in LeGarrette Blount who cold cocked a guy after a college loss to Boise State.

It's the Patriots, not the Seahawks, that were known for Spygate and deflate gate.

Yet Seattle has the bad guy reputation?!?  The Seahawks are "thugs?"

Can anyone name the last time a brawl like this happened with Seattle, prior to this game?

Quote:What a bunch of classless thugs. Brawling with the Patriots rather then accepting defeat graciously like real men and professional athletes... I don't care how heartbreaking it was to lose a SB like that! You're grown men and you're supposed to act like real professionals! You've got fans that are watching and young kids are looking up to you!

Bruce Irvin is fortunate that Gronk didn't get his hands around his neck and choke him out...seriously.

Congrats to Brady and the Pats. That was the best SB of all time. They deserved it a lot more than this Seattle trash. And I truly mean trash.

It was unprofessional, and the lack of sportmanship had those whom watched the game that didnt really care who won starting to support the Patriots because of the poor behavior shown thus far by Seattle... including all the smack talk prior to the game that wasnt shown at least in the media by the Patriots.

Because thug is by definition how they acted? Let me guess, the word thug triggers you?

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/thug?s=t

<span><span>"1</span></span><span>  a cruel or vicious ruffian, robber, or murderer. </span>
<span><span>2.</span></span>(<span><span>sometimes initial capital letter</span></span>) <span>one of a former group of professional robbers and murderers in India who strangled their victims. </span>"

Which of these definitions fit what Seattle did?

Was what we saw last night particularly vicious or cruel?

Did Seattle rob or murder anyone?  (No, but a former teammate of the Patriots is currently on trial for murder).

Are the Seahawks from India?

Honestly it seems the thread is directed towards certain types of players for the Seahawks. If no one is going to say it I will. Even if I get banned again.

I haven't looked around yet but to show a 3 second vid starting that late isn't the best evidence. It was already so late in the play that you can see non players well onto the field in the background while players are still going at it. This might have been the first over the top hit to start the brawl but I wouldn't go by that clip alone.

This thread cracks me up. Seattle has never struck me as thuggish. Brash at times? Sure. But that's more about individual players like Sherman who like to talk. If they couldn't back it up, that's one thing. They were in the Super Bowl, so swagger is fine.

I'm glad someone posted the clip of Gronk throwing the first punch. It's almost a given that the guy who draws the foul usually isn't the one who instigated the fight. Gronkowski looked like a punk out there throwing that punch. Players got caught up in the emotion of the situation and it escalated from there. To take it from there to calling a team thuggish is a reach.

Fights are largely emotions getting out of hand. The celebration of crapping on the ball was worse for me. Generally I don't have a problem with them other than they like to taunt a lot and they are poor winners.

Gronk gave someone a cheap shot in the back of the head. Irvin then threw a punch at him. Very justified, IMO.

Exactly. But the "thug" did it.
