This team pays these players millions of dollars for a couple of seasons worth of play. If "asking" them to try and get along with other teammates is asking too much of them, I think they can cope. They won't break, I promise.. If you need more solid reasoning for that, that sounds like a personal problem.

If you need more solid reasoning for that, that sounds like a personal problem. That's just plain dumb. Harvin has been all about one thing in his NFL career...him. They are trying to build a positive TEAM attitude in the locker room and Harvin is the antithesis of exactly that. Thank God you're not running the team and thank God I don't have to worry about Harvin ever being on this roster. Why you keep bringing up money, I just don't get. It is irrelevant. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Well sir, for your sake and a lot of other older generation ticket buyers, I hope this team can at least let ya see a .500 season again before ya kick off.. It would only be the right thing to do. Look at a guy like Blount. He cant stay on a roster either but the guy is pretty good.

Say we bring in Harvin, the locker room accepts him, but HE'S the one that has a problem with a team mate. What happens then? How would you feel if he started ripping Bortles in the media for not targeting him enough? True superstar talent shouldn't be looking for his 4th job in 6 years.

Quote:People, you really need to stop getting your panties in a twist.. It's just a player. It's not Godzilla who's trampling and destroying team after team by plowing through em all with Godzilla feet..Take a look at how much money Seattle ate just to get him off of their team. This is a team in the direction where we want to go, not copy their mistakes.

All good questions, but I'd definitely risk it. If it happens, then you cut ties and let him go. Lots of "if's" though. Dont really know what's gonna happen, but ya can't go through life worrying about what "might" happen. No risk, no reward.. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:There is always gonna be a lot of "ifs" surrounding a guy who wore out his welcome on a team that made it to the Super Bowl and looked like a better team without him. Sure is.. But when you don't have much to work with in the first place, other team's trash looks real appetizing. Sad eh?
Quote:I don't think anyone in this thread wants to give him a big money contract.. That's not the point. A team that went to the Super Bowl this year was so tired of dealing with the off the field stuff (and lack off on the field production) that they were willing to give up on what they gave to Minnesota, a 1st, 3rd, and 7th....They also handed Harvin $25.5 million guaranteed, including a $12 million signing bonus. He's had three chances in the NFL and not one has stuck...but somehow its going to work with the Jaguars. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/201...-exchange/ http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/201...offseason/ http://seahawksdraftblog.com/thoughts-on...o-the-jets He trashed his quarterback, fought with coaches. Should we bring up what happened at UF? We don't even know what Urban Meyer was able to cover up. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Didn't say it was going to work with the Jags.. I said I think it's worth the risk. We all know about his issues, youd have to be blind not to see him..
Nothing wrong with handing the guy 1-2 mill "if he bites" and let him prove himself. IF he complies and acts like a team player, we got a deal. If not, we wasted "just another guy's" salary and cut ties..
