Jets expected to release Percy Harvin

If percy can pass protect, I say sign him. I'm not sure he'd go for a position change, though

Quote:He resorts to those kind of posts when he has nowhere else to go. He doesn't want to admit he's wrong, so it must be we all just like losing that we can't agree with him.

Seriously? Look at the damn record for the last 3-4 seasons.. Wrong for having an opinion? Really? Should start calling you TMD..

Quote:harvin would thrive in the Woodhead/Vereen role

Percy Harvin would be a matchup nightmare for Defensive Coordinators out of the backfield,  in the slot,  or any other way he was used.

I watched Harvin in many, many games when he was with the Vikings.   When he had Brett Favre as his QB in 2009 before age caught up to the future HOF QB,  Adrian Peterson in the backfield,  and Sidney Rice as the Vikings deep threat,   it was in essence picking your poison for the opposing Defense.   Even when the Vikings didn't have the HOF type Favre and Rice was out of the picture,   Peterson and Harvin were hard enough to contain.     I can't even imagine what Harvin would be like in New England with Tom Brady and the other weapons surrounding him.

The Patriots could easily average over 35 points a game.

If any team can get the most out of Percy Harvin before his baggage potentially exceeds his value,   it's New England under Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.    For most other teams,  I think it's fair to say that the concern level regarding Harvin's character should be high.

the thing is, most of Harvin's baggage was that 12+ million a year salary... which goes away after being cut.  Patriots will sign him to a discount deal and win another super bowl probably.

But my Jaguars are too good for him apparently.  We're above that.

We're all good here.  Dave Caldwell can take a vacation cause our roster is set.  He wont even consider Harvin because we all good.

Obviously Harvin is the only playmaker in FA. How could Caldwell be so dumb?

Hey, if you wanna be happy with sub par offensive play, that's your god given right, not mine.

What I don't get, is some of you whine, cry and moan about how bad this team sucks, but you "female dog up" and cry when others want an actual play maker with some off field issues.. Ya'll some funny fools..

Hey man. You've convinced me. It's not every day you can overpay for an overvalued malcontent who hasn't played a full season since 2011.

I'm all over it.

Yeah man.  I'm agreeing with you.  He's the key cog for this team this year.  We don't get him we're toast.  There's nobody else out there that can help us.  We have to have Percy.  I can't see how Caldwell wouldn't sign him.  These guys are all wimps.  Who cares if he's been dumped by three other teams and even the Super Bowl champs couldn't straighten him out.  We're right and everybody else is wrong.  Gus will fix him.  He's just misunderstood.  He's the best thing that could happen to Bortles and this team.  Everybody else is so dumb.  You're all crappy fans.  We're the smart ones.
