It would be better to do a break down of the amount of 3/4/5 star recruits that ended up being in the NFL by percentage.

 

I found this.  It breaks down only 5 star recruits.  I'm willing to bet the numbers dip a bit with the other ratings.

Here's a break down showing the 4/5 star recruits made up 26 of the top 50 ranked NFL draft players and 24 were 3 star recruits or lower.  The thing is, there are many many many more 3 star recruits than 4 and 5 star, so that makes the percentages out of whack.

The thing is, players don't truly blossom until high school, when they learn a more complex game and their bodies are developing into young men.  Sure, some (perhaps many) superstars were stars since pee wee.  But the opposite isn't necessarily true.  Few little league stars actually become big league stars.

 

So, if you're tracking kids that young, it's a complete waste of time and resources, IMO.

What I posted didn't reference pop warner.  I responded to someone that wondered if 5 stars actually turned out.  

 

I think its pretty dumb to look at anyone before their junior year...the only reason they do is because colleges do it now.
