Agreed. He and Tom Baker (4th Doctor) represent the totality of my science fiction TV experience from my youth. Half is now gone and it is a sad day indeed.

Obviously as you can tell from my avatar, he was my favorite character in Star Trek.  A brilliant and talented man.  I am mourning his passing.
