They so do not look like twins

Story and pictures

I have twins in my family, but not like this. Wow.

"A set of 18-year-old twins are making headlines this week because of just how different they look. Lucy Aylmer, with her pale skin, blue eyes, and red hair, looks white. Maria, who has darker skin and brown eyes and hair, looks black."

I don't think Maria looks black (except maybe her hair) so much as she is just much darker than Lucy.

Multiples run in our family too.  (Both me and my wife's family.  Which is probably why we ended up having triplets, and later twins). Yeah, they don't look like twins, but sometimes fraternal twins really don't look similar.

I wonder how common it is for interracial couples who have twins to have twins of different skin colors though.

It seems like theres a story like this every 3-4 years but usually it's when the twins are born.

It happens a lot with European and Central/South American mixes.

And wow. Triplets AND twins? How are you not psychotic? Or are you?  Ninja

Cool story, My two sons that are only 15 months apart make me very grateful we never had twins.

I am in awe of your greatness, I can't fathom triplets much less a set of triplets combined with twins. My completely different 4 ages groups kick my butt, if any one of them had backup I'd be over ran in a heart beat. You sir can walk among the gods.

The twins aren't a year old yet.   So I'm not psychotic yet.  At least I don't think so.  As they say -- the insane don't know they're going insane.  They think they're getting saner.
