Philadelphia traded LaSean McCoy to Buffalo for Kiki Alonso

By the way Bills were a top 5 defense in almost all defensive categories without Kiko, and people are acting like they got hosed, trying to be smart acting like all RBs fall off real fast, Shady is only 27

Last trade like this was Champ Bailey for Clinton Portis.

At least in that trade,  a 2nd Round pick was also involved.  This trade looks like a pure 1 for 1 of high caliber players.

This is my take as well.

In addition,  Rex Ryan is bringing with him a different system to Buffalo than the one that Kiko Alonso was drafted to play in.

All I know is if Kiko Alonzo is on the trading block and the trade hasn't happened yet, I really hope Caldwell gets on the phone to see if Buffalo is willing to work out a trade with us.

Yep.  Another Buffalo LB shipped out for a switch to the 34.

Sounds eerily familiar.

What's Shady's value in terms of draft picks? A 3rd or 4th rounder? I would gladly give that up for Alonzo.

If this goes through, Philly is the clear winner in this deal.  They got a promising young player for a guy who was going to be a cap casualty, and I believe they also clear the cap space.

Only a chump boos the home team!

CJ Spiller says the Bills management informed him about the trade.

Eagles are going to have almost 60 mil in cap space after trading Shady, cutting Cole and Williams, and the very likely cut of Ryans.

Sizable blow to the Jags FA dreams to have another ultra aggressive team with a sexy perception and a boatload of cap space.

Like seriously. Kelly is making some moves. I wonder who he's targeting in FA...

I don't think it was much about Shady himself as a player but with his cap hit and how Shady had a down year with him being on the field, it was best for the team and player to get traded.

Also it seems that Kelly is willing to do what it takes to bring the Oregon alum together at the next level. I think this trade just offers further proof that if Kelly wants Mariota in the draft he'll do what is necessary to get him.

Great move for Chip Kelly, the Eagles now have even more cap space and if they move up for Mariota this make sense to me.

Without those draft picks (traded for Mariota) they're going to need to build through FA and moves like this.

Well, most of us didn't want Shady and a 1st... How about Kiko and a 1st for 1.03?

Bills don't have a 1st until next year, they traded their first this year to the Browns.

That worked out well for them last time they tried it.

No. Not ever.

A guy coming off an ACL injury? No thanks. Rather use our 2nd round pick on a LB just like buffalo did when they drafted Kiko.
