OLB Jason Worilds - Exactly what the Jags need

#1

This guy is solid and would be a great fit to the Jags Defense.   8 sacks each of the past 2 years.

I have a sneaky suspicion that he might be one of the Jags primary targets.

Same with me. I don't remeber where I saw this, but he wasn't used very much as a pass rusher, but when he was used, it was his biggest strength.

I don't. I think the team knows they can get their pick of guys that play the same position in the draft (Fowler, Beasley, Gregory) and add a tight end, free safety, right tackle and receiver in free agency.

I really like Worilds and I really hope he is the guy we get. However, it seems like Orakpo may end up being the guy. If Orakpo can stay on the field, he could be a very, very good OTTO for us. I think if we went Orakpo, we could draft another OTTO candidate to be his backup should he get hurt.

McPhee, Worilds, or Graham would be awesome OTTO candidates to add. Not a fan of the Orakpo rumors.

Worilds, Orakpo, and Brooks Reed could all potentially be targets to fill our vacant OTTO spot.

any of those 3 would be a really nice upgrade.

I have heard rumors that the Eagles and the Titans like Worilds.

John Oesher in today's O-Zone suggests that there is almost no chance the Jags will chase Jason Worilds in Free Agency.

The thing with this is that it takes next to nothing to upgrade the OTTO position. It is one thing to upgrade the position, another to make it a strength.

As far as Worilds, he is my top option.

Orakpo is a nice 2nd, but we would have to get somebody good to back him up as injuries are a major concern.

Graham-Don't know much on him. I see places say he has been miscast at different roles and yet still succeeds. I always thought he was an end not a linebacker.

Reed-No. He lacks pass rush ability.

McPhee-Good against run and got a good amount of sacks on limited action. Sounds good.

Smith-Maybe.

Ayers-Upgrade, but not strength.

I see Brooks Reed as an OTTO candidate as well. Exactly the type of player Caldwell Bradley will go after. Plays with his hair on fire.

Nope. Just says odds we get him are slim. No logic, no explanation, just a useless statement.
