Running back poll

Looking for a thread to put this in.... this one seems about right.
Abdullah just ran an unofficial 4.52 at his pro day. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! He looks useful, but don't think he's the "missing piece" in our RB jigsaw at the moment.
Gurley in the 3rd for sure but he won't fall so I picked Ajayi in the 4th or 5th hoping he falls. Lots of good backs, hopefully one the FO likes falls and we can trade up/down to get it done.

Running back may be the deepest position group in this draft along with wide receiver. Unless Melvin Gordon falls to round 2 (unlikely), I would wait until either round 3 or 4 to take a running back, depending on when the "run" on the 2nd tier backs begin (only Gordon and Gurley are tier 1). If it begins in the mid second, the Jags will probably need to take their guy in round 3. I'd be fine with any of the following in round 3: Duke Johnson, Abdullah, Ajayi, Yeldon, Coleman or Johnson from N. Iowa. If only a couple are left after round 2, I'd take one of them. If several are still left, they can hope at least one makes it to the 4th or take someone like Cobb from Minnesota. With all these backs, I sure hope they don't overpay Demarco Murray.
My top three would be 1. Gordon 2. Gurley 3. Ajayi
Because Gordon isn't recovering from a knee injury he's first. As for Ajayi I just like his size, decent speed, and running style.

I think that if we want some sort of choice (and I'd be surprised if our coaching team haven't got a list of favourites) then we might have to pick in round 2. But yes, Cobb might be a good alternative in rounds 3/4. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Ajayi all the way in the third I agree on Ajayi, but if Gordon and Gurley go early, he won't be there in the third. Ameer Abdullah is yet another is a long line of great Nebraska RBs. I'd be stoked if the Jaguars picked him in round two.

I'd take David Johnson especially if we were to get Murray in free agency, but imo the most talented back is Gordon, change of direction, acceleration and footwork is special.

Not a big Gordon fan because his OLD I'd amazing and he doesn't wow me, has good vision and footwork but doesn't have that burst or power. Gurley, Ajayi, and Abdullah wow me. Haven't watched Coleman yet or the cal or Minnesota guy but would love to get one of those 3 and preferably the first 2.
1. Gurley 2. Ajayi 3. Abdullah 4. Gordon We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Jay Ajayi is my favorite back this year... Wouldn't mind taking him at the top of round 2

Bell was obviously a superior receiver but vision and footwork are very good traits to have. IMO Gordon has enough power but he's no Lynch or what Ajayi looks like he'll be power wise in the league. My top three backs are Gurley, Gordon, Ajayi.
