You're right, they are the only two mobile qb's in the league that can throw....I can name ten off the top of my head that can mix both.

By naming those two, I meant that those should be the only ones you should feel comfortable with being your FRANCHISE quarterback, because they are the only Mobile QBs who do both well enough to be considered a franchise QB. There is a reason mobile QBs have won nothing in the league. Not rocket science.

I guess we have far different definitions of the word mobile, because I would absolutely consider guys like Rodgers, Young, Elway, Staubach, McNabb, Tarkenton, etc mobile. All of those guys plus plenty more could beat you with their arms and legs, and all of them plus many more had substantial playoff success too.

Being able to run has nothing to do with being able to throw. Being mobile is an added bonus, but lets stop saying "THIS GUY IS A MOBILE QB SO HE OBVIOUSLY CANT THROW".

Grade the QB on how well they actually perform the position, and if they can run on top of that, then thats great. Cam is good at throwing in a conventional offense as is Russel. Kaep is still learning but looks to be decent, RG3 took a step back this year but it looks like he could as well. But their ability to throw has nothing to do with their ability to run. They are two totally seperate entities and should be discussed as such.

Aaron Rodgers isn't a mobile QB? He hasn't won anything in the league?

Steve Young wasn't mobile? He never won anything?

He's twisting definitions to be right. Don't worry, I'm sure he'll reply with ALL CAPS in an attempt to demean you soon.

There's a difference between "mobile" and "run-first" QBs, IMO. Steve Young, Elway, Rodgers, and now Kaep, Wilson, ect. are all mobile QBs. And Kaepernick absolutely has the intelligence and the arm for the position; I really don't understand why people are downgrading him atm. He can make all the throws.

Vick, at least early in his career, was a run-first QB. Pryor is a run-first QB. I don't believe Mariota is a run-first QB necessarily, but he is very raw and will need lots of coaching before he's ready, IMO. That said, he can make some nice throws...I'm not sure where Tommy Boy is seeing this not being able to throw.
