UNF Wins

Quote:The best news is that Coach Driscoll is at UNF for at least 3 more years. Until he gets an offer to move to a bigger program.

Quote:Based on what? Look at the roster. Check out the Freshman 5'8" - 170 pounds. I'd think Chase, with the Div I basketball resume would go on to pursue coaching or some form of career directly associated with hoops. There is a real advantage to having a D1 resume when looking for such opportunities (and being the son of a successful coach). More power to them if it works !!! http://www.unfospreys.com/roster.aspx?path=mbball Quote:Look at the roster. Check out the Freshman 5'8" - 170 pounds. So his 5'8" freshman son will keep him from taking a better job?

My guess is if a school in Conference USA or the AAC offers him a job, he takes it.

As a fan of a team with a young, bright Head Coach (VCU with Shaka Smart), I feel y'all's pain. Every Spring, right after the tournament is over, the whole fanbase starts up what we've come to call "Shaka Watch". We get to worry about which big(ger) name school is coming into town in order to wine and dine him, and it doesn't stop until the announcement is made that the coach just got himself a new contract.
It's a rough situation, but there are worse ways to be.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say! Smart seems truly content where he is at and likes it.

He does seem to be very comfortable and confident at VCU, but there are some astronomical numbers being thrown around at coaches nowadays. Just makes you a bit nervous, ya know?

Proud of UNF hoops this year. Hopefully they can win on Sunday and go to The Big Dance.
I'm trying to find someone to go to the game with me, but I cant get anyone to buy in!

I looked at tickets online and seems like the bottom level is sold out. Top part is only 15 bucks (5 for kids). Should be packed.
