Jets expected to release Percy Harvin

(This post was last modified: 03-06-2015, 05:12 PM by imtheblkranger.)

If he'll come as a kick return specialist and no locker room problems, sure.

Doubt it though, wouldn't be opposed to it, but not really hoping for it.

I hope he comes to Jacksonville.

My thoughts include the fact that Bradley does not have first hand experience with him in Seattle.

It's not worth the risk with a young and learning QB. If we had a Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton etc, I'd say maybe. But we're too young of a team to take on someone like this; regardless of his talent. We need leaders, not selfish individuals.

GO JAGS!!

i would love it.

harvin, lee, robinson, and blackmon on the field at once would be absolutely amazing.

He is still explosive and could fill the return role and 4th or 5th receiver. Gus had first hand experience with him in Seattle.

Obviously he has his issues, but will he have learned anything from his experiences the past few years. Interested to hear your thoughts.

No he didn't. Percy Harvin was a Viking in 2012.

No thank you. Don't need that type of attitude here

You guys don't think Gus called Pete Carroll and asked about Percy? I'm sure Petes response was somewhere along the lines of "{bad word removed} that guy."

No way he comes to Jax. I mean, like 0 percent chance I'd guess.

4th or 5th receiver?

That is the funniest thing I've read in a long, long time.

Quote:Harvin (if healthy and used correctly; I don't think Darrelll Bevell finds the right way to utilise him last season) can improve almost every offense, but he's just not worth the risk for most of the teams. I'm 100% we wouldn't be in Super Bowl (I doubt we even make it into playoffs) if we didn't trade him away. He was that big of a distraction in the locker room.

Brady, Brees, Manning can handle Harvin right now. Wilson couldn't and I don't think Bortles can either. At least I wouldn't want to mess up with Bortles head and your young team chemistry at this point. If Gus is unsure about this, he should ask Pete Carroll, but I don't think he'll need his advice.

I think Harvin will probably sign with New England and look great for 4 or 5 games until he gets hurt again.

thats my guess as well. i think its best for harvin and brady to get those 2 together.

If Harvin is so good, why did the Vikings, Seahawks and Jets all let him go?

Seems to me if he's as good as people claim he is, he wouldn't keep getting traded or released.

Possession receiver who has been a known cancer since his UF days? No thank you. If you doubt the possession receiver stuff check his stats. His yards per reception is really low and he by no means stretches the field. He just isn't worth the headache.

He absolutely stretches the field and his ypc is so low because teams run him out of the backfield and into screens all the time.

No he doesn't. He hasn't done anything meaningful since 2011. He's a name ignorant fans get excited for. That is it. He isn't worth the headache.

Incredible ability.  Incredible pain in the rear.  The guy has been a cancer in locker rooms going back to college.  He is a me-first prima donna and always has been.  Don't see him coming to Jax.  Certainly not anywhere near what he has been getting paid.

Only a chump boos the home team!
