Quote:That game is a perfect example to show how good QB play can overcome a horrible offensive line. Not only that, but taking what the defense is giving you. Multiple times he goes to the checkdown or hot route with the extra defenders in his face knowing that the defense will be thin on that side. Takes a few sacks and got hit a few times but didn't let it fluster him. 25/29, 344 yards, 11.9 YPA, 3TD/0INT. He likes to roll to the outside to extend plays, but a few times he does run backwards. I like it when QB's can improvise and extend a play, but going backwards is something that would need to be addressed. That's about the only negative I found in this game.
I watched Teddy's last 2 games and one earlier in the year I can't remember who they played, I watched a few of his last year. So I decided to watch Teddy vs. Kentucky on youtube and see how he played.
0:00 Bad over throw 0:26 threw way behind WR 1:44 he completes it too a WR with good coverage and tackled short of 1st but RB wide open right in front of him for the 1st 2:00 horrible throw in double coverage 2:25 maybe a worse throw in triple coverage and hit the defender in the chest 2:54 way over thrown 3:40 nice throw in the endzone to give the WR a chance 4:18 he has some pressure and throws it away but freeze it at 4:23, FB wide open right in front of him 5:20 really nice throw as the WR beats the defender and Teddy gets it over the defenders head 5:54 nice throw down the middle of the field 6:33 way over thrown again, could of been a easy TD if he could of hit the WR 7:34 over thrown again out of bounds On top of all the bad throws he did make some nice ones. A lot of Rb passes and short hook routes and dump offs. He has great accuracy on passes under 10 yards but over 15 is accuracy is a concern as was also really seen in the Rutgers game. He did make some nice scrambles and run a couple of times to get him out of trouble that I liked. If this was and NFL game though he would of easily threw 2 picks with the overthrows and throws in double in triple coverage. I still like Teddy and think he is the best QB prospect at the moment and think he will be good in the pro's but he is far from a Luck or a Petyon prospect and both who of which played much better competition. I would put Teddy as a Sam Bradford-Matt Ryan prospect IMO, both of who had questions coming out like Teddy. Another concern for me is how will he handle pressure against NFL level competition. Those questions remain to be seen. http://youtu.be/aZzmXxB64ec
Quote:I can just see the inside routes and YAC with Teddy throwin to Blackmon. Play-action post route to Shorts...That's exactly what I see, he doesn't seem to make a lot of mistakes but if he turns out into a good game manager for us I would be just fine with that. If he turns out to be more than that would be even better. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
his "worst" game was against the best defense in his schedule so far (kentucky), and i expect him to continue cruising until his bowl game. hopefully he faces a better defense to showcase his talents and solidify his #1 qb billing if it wasnt obvious already.

Quote:Fundamental difference between alex smith and tom brady is the deep ball. If Bridgewater has a consist reliable deep ball, watch out.Yeah I agree, but if he over throws his receivers as much as he does in college. A lot of them will be picked of by those NFL safeties.

We would be better off taking Clowney or trading out of the pick entirely. No way would I be OK with drafting a game manager first overall. If that's what were setting the bar for we should have drafted Geno Smith last year. Here's hoping he's more than a game manager and Caldwell makes the smart choice.

When did I say I hope he turns out to be a game manager? I hope he turns out to be better but I don't know. I don't see Geno Smith as a game manager. 2 of the Jets wins this year were because of the other teams stupid penalties. I wouldn't mind taking Clowney, I would be happy with Clowney or Teddy.

Find me one QB in college that overthrows receivers less than Teddy. Because Jameis and Mariota do it far more. Source: I watch way more college football than you. You also pathetically keep focusing in on Kentucky which was his "bad game" because he only had one touchdown pass LOL. Making your passion for Murray and whatever flavor of the scrub QB week you have now even more hilarious.

No way would I be OK with drafting a game manager first overall. If that's what were setting the bar for we should have drafted Geno Smith last year. The conformity on taking this QB is startling. It's laughable to "be ok" with a game manager at the #1 overall pick. Heck I wouldn't be happy with a game manager in the first round period. If were just going to be apathetic to the situation, lets just draft the Matthews kid and give ol gabbert another year. The mentality of some is insane. I hope Caldwell does the right thing and drafts a star in Mariota or Clowney. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I like Murray but never said the guy should go 1st overall, did say "Teddy and think he is the best QB prospect at the moment" Lol, I knew that post was gonna hurt your feelings and you would get your panties in a bunch when I pointed out some of his flaws and concerns. I hope you are able to sleep tonight! Even wiseman101 agreed and he is one of the biggest Teddy supporters on this site.

Quote:I guess we should all just ignore facts when it doesn't fit an agenda or is an inconvenience. The only fact being ignored is the fact that no QB coming out in this draft is even close to Teddy (Lock for the first pick) Bridgewater.
