Rookies, Hype and Disappointments.
|
its halfway through the season, who did you think would bust, live to their hype, disappointments, late round surprises and etc.
Disappointments - tavon the first wr taken has been outplayed by almost every wr taken ahead of him prior to the 4th round. miliner - damn he sucks jarvis jones got benched lol qbs has been playing like rookies of before. eric fisher not living up to that #1 pick tbh living to the hype- DT sheldon and star - theyre like head to head for droy in front of kiko alonso eddie lacy has been doing well than i expected so soon. im a little biased but keenan allen shouldve been drafted in the 2nd rd tbh, dude has been balling the past few weeks. Star and Alonso my 2 favs. I think when Luke gets healthy next year he will be one of the best players to come out of this class though.
Quote:EJ Manuel, prior to injury, was beating his hype. I agree. I had a lot of questions regarding ej Manuel..and I didn't think he would be as good as he looked..hopefully he picks up where he left off when he's back from injury

Sheldon Richardson has been dominant, Kyle Long and Gio Bernard have been good as well.
Richardson should not be a surprise. He was a dominant player at Missouri.
And has anybody seen Sharrif Floyd this year?

Quote:bernard with another good game, hes head to head with lacy for oroyUnfortunately yes...along with Keenan Allen. My boy Larry Warford has been the best offensive rookie but no way a guard wins it. Cordarelle Patterson is going to be a pro bowler as a return man too and could be challenging for OROY if Leslie Frazier wasn't so terrible. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:Unfortunately yes...along with Keenan Allen. My boy Larry Warford has been the best offensive rookie but no way a guard wins it. The two Lions beat writers from the MLive.Com site named Larry Warford the team's best rookie in the first half of the season. http://www.mlive.com/lions/index.ssf/201...rds_7.html Excellent choice! Considering the struggles that Warford had in the first couple of weeks of training camp against Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley, it's a credit to Warford how far he's come. He has the mental toughness to overcome adversity, a key for an NFL player. Warford certain exceeded my expectations for the first half of his rookie season. Warford benefited greatly following his Senior Season with Kentucky by going to Arizona to train with and learn from former NFL Center LeCharles Bentley. Being coached by the Lions staff at the Senior Bowl was a key factor in the team drafting him. Having said all of this, I totally agree with you that a Guard isn't going to win the official NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. That much more so a Guard that was drafted in the 3rd Round.
I've heard that Bears 5th round RT Jordan Mills has been playing well.
"Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?"
Cyprien hasn't lived up to the hype at all. In training camp the media portrayed him to be the greatest Jag ever to step on the field. I've been unimpressed this season.

Quote:I've heard that Bears 5th round RT Jordan Mills has been playing well.Mills and Long have both been very good for them. I admit that I wasn't a huge fan of Long (well I thought he was good but not first round good...I liked Warford more), but I absolutely loved Mills. Thank god it looks like Pasztor is a hit at RT or I'd be quite sad we didn't get Mills.
Lacy, Bernard and Keenan would be my pick for OROY but I think Kyle Long has been the most impressive of all rookies. It's just a shame that lineman can be the best yet never win the most prestigious awards. Kiko wins DROY hands down I think. Tavon has been a big disappointment. I remember defending his selection while watching the draft with my friends. Too small and only offered speed..boy did I think they were wrong
