Drew Brees not only was a differential part of the Saints 2009 season Super Bowl win but his overall W-L record since coming to New Orleans helped change that franchise around after having only 1 playoff win in their history before the Brees era. Other than Reggie White, I can't think of more impactful FA signing than Brees has been.
Quote:Where did you get that Thomas deal for us from? It worked out huge for New Orleans Even Manning had some risk but they have gotten a few great years out of him Corners and Pass Rushers get the big money, but have a huge fail rate We show less advertisements to registered users. Brees has to be one of the all time greatest FA signings if not maybe the best because of being a QB. He did amazing things for the team and the city.
I hope we can have that type of FA Impact sometime(soon?) Dude could be mayor of the city the minute he retires.
Adalius Thomas... What ever happened to him? And Laurent Robinson, just awful.

Like always in free agency. Some good value signings and a lot of overpaid players.
T.J. Housyourmomma, lol. I still remember how excited I was when we signed him. Also, I really don't agree about Martellous Bennett. He had 90 catches last season. For me he's a top 5 TE. Quote:Like always in free agency. Some good value signings and a lot of overpaid players. Really? Okay I'm out of the loop on him then Quote:Really? Okay I'm out of the loop on him then Yes, I've had him on one of my fantasy teams. Obviously this was his best season so far but he was also solid in his first season in Chicago and back in 2012 with Giants. I didn't watch him close enough but from what I've seen he's also a good blocker. I'd gladly pay $5M/year for that kind of production. http://www.nfl.com/player/martellusbennett/1062/profile I'd like to see Martellous join his brother in Seattle, but it probably won't happen. BTW, both Bennett brothers are a bit crazy (in a good way). Their interviews are always fun to listen/watch. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! |
